The Frist Art Museum presents Do Ho Suh: Specimens, an exhibition of astonishingly detailed sculptures, installations, and drawings that poetically reflect on the meanings and messages contained in domestic spaces, both real and imagined. The Music Center today announced the opening of its 2018-2019 dance season with the Los Angeles premiere of Company Wayne McGregor's Autobiography (October 5-7, 2018), a contemporary dance portrait that fuses science and the human form. Known for choreography that examines life through the experience of the body, British choreographer and director Wayne McGregor, CBE based Autobiography on the sequencing of his own genome, compiling 23 different sequences that are performed in varying order each night. McGregor uses a computer algorithm to determine the selection and order of the 23 sections prior to each performance, ensuring audiences will experience a performance that will never be repeated.

The Hungarian State Opera (HSO), one of the world's busiest opera companies, comes to the United States this fall for the first time ever, presenting four operas by Hungarian composers, including two U.S. premieres, at Lincoln Center's David H. Koch Theater, October 30 to November 3. This week of opera is followed by another week of performances presented by the Hungarian National Ballet, November 6 to 11, as well as an opera and ballet gala on November 4 and the Carnegie Hall debut of the HSO Orchestra on November 5. HBO Documentary Films presents THE PRICE OF EVERYTHING, a fascinating deep dive into the contemporary art world directed by Oscar® nominee Nathaniel Kahn, filmmaker (HBO's My Architect). The film premiered at the 2018 Sundance Film Festival and has since traveled to top festivals around the world.
