British pianist Stephen Hough makes his much-anticipated Bravo! Vail debut with Maestro Jaap van Zweden and the Dallas Symphony Orchestra on Sunday, June 29 at Vail's Gerald R. Ford Amphitheater. Ehrenkranz Artistic Director Jane Moss today announced the schedule for Lincoln Center's fifth White Light Festival, October 7 through November 11, 2014. The multidisciplinary Festival spans 12 venues, and numerous musical traditions and genres. It will include 30 performances, films, and events and feature eight premieres, plus new works and debuts by artists and companies from the United States, Australia, Germany, Pakistan, Poland, the U.K. and South Africa - including the Lincoln Center debut of the Berliner Philharmoniker.

As part of their eight-city duo tour, the music powerhouses perform Schubert's Sonatina in A minor, D. 385, Beethoven's Violin Sonata No. 7 in C minor, Op. 30, No. 2, and Brahms' Viola Sonata No. 1 in F minor, Op. 120, No. 1, which is the composer's own adaptation of a work he originally composed with the clarinet in mind. The performance is part of the LA Phil's 2013/14 Colburn Celebrity Recitals series.

Glenn Stanley, a music historian in the UConn Music Department, will discuss musical points of interest at 6:45 p.m.
