Artistic Director Rupert Goold today announces the Almeida Theatre's new season.

The fascinating history behind Shakespeare's greatest plays continues with a third series of Shakespeare Uncovered, premiering Fridays, October 12-26 on PBS (check local listings) and streaming the following day at pbs.org/shakespeareuncovered and on PBS apps. The ambitious series concludes with celebrated new hosts Helen Hunt, F. Murray Abraham, Romola Garai, Brian Cox, Simon Russell Beale and Sir Antony Sher, who seamlessly weave their personal passions with history, biography, iconic performances and new analysis to tell the stories behind the stories of Shakespeare's famous works. The final season investigates “Much Ado About Nothing,” “The Merchant of Venice,” “Measure for Measure,” “Julius Caesar,” “The Winter's Tale” and “Richard III.” 

According to The New York Times, The Lehman Trilogy, the play about the Lehman brothers, will arrive next year in New York. The show is currently running in the West End at the National Theatre through October 20.

Well into their 30s, Juan Nuñez (Gael Garcia Bernal) and Benjamin Wilson (Leonardo Ortizgris) still can't seem to finish veterinary school or leave their parents' homes. Instead, they wallow in comfortable limbo in the district of Satelite, Mexico City's version of an American suburb. In a new production commissioned by the Finborough Theatre, the rediscovery of Tony Harrison's Square Rounds in its first UK production for nearly 30 years opens at the Finborough Theatre for a four week limited season on Tuesday, 4 September 2018 (Press Nights: Thursday, 6 September and Friday, 7 September 2018 at 7.30pm).

The hard-nosed sales team in this darkly funny classic will then visit Birmingham, Manchester, Milton Keynes, Glasgow, Richmond, Brighton and Cardiff with further tour dates to be announced shortly.
