Delving into the murky history and contemporary reality of the garment industry, World Factory provokes a conversation about consumer capitalism and ethical trade in relation to China. The original production of World Factory was created and produced by METIS Projects in co-production with the New Wolsey Theatre, the Young Vic, and Company of Angels, and first performed at the New Wolsey Theatre and Young Vic in 2015.

Casting has been announced for George Bernard Shaw's THE PHILANDERER at the Orange Tree Theatre. Rupert Young (High Society at the Old Vic, Sir Leon in BBC's Merlin) plays Leonard Charteris, the philanderer of the title. He's joined by Helen Bradbury, Joe Idris-Roberts, Michael Lumsden, Dorothea Myer-Bennett, Christopher Staines, Mark Tandy and Paksie Vernon.

Theatre Suburbia, Northwest Houston's longest-running all volunteer playhouse, is ringing in the new year with a production of local playwright Carl Williams' UNDER A COWBOY MOON. The light-hearted comedy takes place in the small west Texas town of Spitwhistle, where there really are only cowboys, longnecks, and the Saddle Horn Bar. To encourage tourism, the residents of Spitwhistle organize a cowboy poetry contest with a $500 grand prize. However, a TV crew from the Boston PBS affiliate arrives to film to contest and the prize is raised to $5,000. With a touch of romance and a lot of ego, the competitors set out to prove who has the best pen in the west.
