TIME Magazine's #1 Show of the Year, MATILDA THE MUSICAL, is coming to Wharton Center as part of the MSUFCU Broadway at Wharton Center series. Produced by the Royal Shakespeare Company and the Dodgers, the first national tour of MATILDA THE MUSICAL will be featured on Tuesday, April 19 - Sunday, April 24, 2016 in Cobb Great Hall. Celebrity Series of Boston has announced that Broadway star Kelli O'Hara will be added to the 2015-2016 season in An Evening With Kelli O'Hara on Sunday, February 28, 2016 at 7pm at Sanders Theatre, Memorial Hall, Harvard University, 45 Quincy Street, Cambridge.

Casting has been announced for the St. Louis engagement of the First National Tour of MATILDA THE MUSICAL. Produced by the Royal Shakespeare Company and The Dodgers, MATILDA THE MUSICAL will play the Fabulous Fox Theatre October 21 - November 1.

Beginning September 8, the Tony Award-winning Broadway hit MATILDA THE MUSICAL will welcome Natalie Venetia Belcon as Mrs. Phelps, Allison Case as Miss Honey, Rick Holmes as Mr. Wormwood, and Amy Spanger as Mrs. Wormwood. They join a principal cast that features Christopher Sieber as Miss Trunchbull, and the four girls sharing the title role: Mattea Conforti, Rileigh McDonald, Mimi Ryder, and Alexandra Vlachos.

The Matilda The Musical national tour kicked off the 2015/16 season at Seattle's 5th Avenue Theatre last night, where it plays through September 6, 2015. While the show doesn't officially open until August 20, theatre-goers were distressed after last night's first preview, when the show reportedly struggled to make it to the final bow. The performances began a whopping hour and a half late, keeping guests waiting outside without an explanation from the staff.

Evie Hone and Lizzie Wells will join Anna-Louise Knight and Lara McDonnell in the title role of the Royal Shakespeare Company's production of Roald Dahl's Matilda The Musical from Tuesday 15 September 2015. Joining the four actresses will be Michael Begley (Mr Wormwood), Miria Parvin (Miss Honey) and Rebecca Thornhill (Mrs Wormwood). Craige Els will continue in the role of Miss Trunchbull.
