Photo Flash: Sneak Peek at Commedia Beauregard's MASTER WORKS: THE INTUIT PLAYS

Commedia Beauregard is pleased to present MASTER WORKS: The Intuit Plays, six new short plays inspired by pieces of artwork from the permanent collection of one of Chicago's most fascinating museums, Intuit: The Center for Intuitive and Outsider Art, 756 N. Milwaukee Ave. in Chicago. Curated by company member kClare Kemock*, the six plays will be performed April 2 - 11, 2015 at the museum itself, allowing the audience members to view the works of art firsthand. Guests will also have an opportunity to vote for 'Audience Favorite' and 'Best Translation.' The press opening is Thursday, April 2 at 7:30 pm. Miscast 2015 will honor two bold and fearless women: Emmy® & Golden Globe® nominated stage and screen actress Sarah Paulson and Tony® Award-winning producer Fran Weissler.

BWW Previews: D'Arco, Novak Lead Circle's PICNIC Cast

Gina D'Arco and Taylor Novak will lead the cast of William Inge's Picnic, in a revival of the classic play helmed by Jeffrey Ellis, for Nashville's Circle Players, which this season celebrates its 65th year of bringing live theater to audiences throughout Middle Tennessee. Picnic will run tonight, March 27 through April 4, and will be performed at the theater at Hillsboro High School.

Milwaukee Repertory Theater's Rep Lab Returning for Fifth Year

Milwaukee Repertory Theater's (The Rep) Artistic Intern Ensemble presents its annual one-of-a-kind short-play festival, Rep Lab, returning for its fifth season to the intimate Stiemke Studio from April 10 - 13, 2015. Due to popular demand, extra performances were added this season and will feature everything from comedy to drama to devised work.

.Libertine Idol Productions and Charles Czarnecki present a staged reading of the world premiere of Erik Johannes von Ransom's GRINDR The Opera in concert on April 7th at 11:30am and April 9th at 3:00pm at Roy Arias Studios, 777 8th Avenue, New York. With direction by Rachel Klein (Around the World in 80 Days, The Anthem, Symphony of Shadows, The Tragedy of Maria Macabre), GRINDR The Opera is an unauthorized musical parody of the eponymous gay hook-up app that has sweepingly altered the course of modern gay intimacy. Randy Jones, the original Village People Cowboy, will host the readings.

BWW Reviews: Giddy Comedy Gold in Seattle Shakes' TARTUFFE

Moliere's "Tartuffe" is already a classic drink from the comedy well from which many have drawn. But what director Makaela Pollock and the folks at Seattle Shakespeare Company have done with their current production is to take that comedy and reinvigorated it with a kind of screwball comedy style making the already funny downright giddy hilarity.
