Producing Artistic Director Carolyn Griffin is pleased to announce A BROADWAY CHRISTMAS CAROL, created by Kathy Feininger, will return to MetroStage for a third season for the holidays November 15 through December 23rd. It has been produced the past two seasons and has become a holiday tradition here at MetroStage.

Casting for Cameron Mackintosh's new 25th anniversary production of LES MISERABLES has been announced for the back-by-popular-demand Washington engagement at The National Theatre, beginning December 13 for three weeks only. The all-new production of LES MISERABLES features glorious new staging and spectacular reimagined scenery inspired by the paintings of Victor Hugo.

Signature Theatre has announced a second one-week extension for GOLDEN CHILD by David Henry Hwang, directed by Leigh Silverman. The production will now play through Sunday, December 16. The production is currently in previews and opens on November 13 in The Alice Griffin Jewel Box Theatre at The Pershing Square Signature Center (480 West 42nd Street between 9th and 10th Avenues). Very limited availability remains for the production's initial run. Tickets during the extension weeks are $75 each.

Through November 21, Hartford Stage is conducting an on-line survey inviting Connecticut and metropolitan area residents to share their opinions about the performing arts in the Greater Hartford region and future planning options for Hartford Stage.

Signature Theatre embarks on a journey of adventure and romance next summer with an all-new production of the Tony Award®-winning musical Miss Saigon, directed by Artistic Director Eric Schaeffer. Staged in the intimate MAX Theatre, the show provides an exciting opportunity for Signature to deepen its longtime dedication to the re-imagining of classic musicals in intimate settings. The show will run August 15 through September 22.

Atlantic Theater Company presents the World Premiere of WHAT RHYMES WITH AMERICA, written by Melissa James Gibson and directed by Daniel Aukin, beginning November 19 at the Linda Gross Theater, 336 West 20th Street (between 8th & 9th Avenues). The Public Theater's Artistic Director Oskar Eustis released the following statement today on Hurricane Sandy.

On April 15, 2013, Virginia's renowned Signature Theatre will honor the multiple Tony Award®-winning Broadway producer and director Harold "Hal" Prince with the company's fourth Stephen Sondheim Award. The award, established in 2009 in honor of America's most influential musical theatre writer and composer, will be presented at a black-tie Gala Benefit at the Embassy of Italy. The Sondheim Award Gala will benefit Signature Theatre's artistic, education, and community programs.

Signature Theatre presents THE PIANO LESSON by August Wilson and directed by Tony Award winner Ruben Santiago-Hudson. The production, which has already announced a 1-week extension, runs through December 16 and opens November 18 in The Irene Diamond Stage at The Pershing Square Signature Center (480 West 42nd Street between 9th and 10th Avenues). Mr. Paulin's previous collection of one-acts Harrison, TX just closed a sold-out run in New York. FOOTE NOTES, will preview today, November 2, at 8pm; Saturday, November 3 at 8pm and Thursday, November 8 at 8pm and will open today, November 9 at 8pm and runs through Saturday, December 15 at the Open Fist Theatre, 6209 Santa Monica Blvd. in Hollywood.
