Funding allows Signature to charge only $25 per ticket for all productions during their initial runs, but is that enough to create a diverse audience?

Signature Theatre has announced the cast of Jelly's Last Jam directed by Signature Associate Artistic Director Matthew Gardiner (Signature's La Cage Aux Folles, West Side Story) and choreographed by Jared Grimes (Broadway's After Midnight). The musical about famed and notorious jazz entertainer Jelly Roll Morton by George C. Wolfe, Susan Birkenhead, and Luther Henderson featuring the music of Jelly Roll Morton runs August 2 - September 11 in Signature Theatre's intimate MAX Theatre.

Arena Stage announces the full cast and creative team for BORN FOR THIS: THE BEBE WINANS STORY, the heartwarming true story of six-time Grammy Award-winning icon BeBe Winans' journey to fame.

Creative Cauldron's 7th Annual Summer Cabaret Series will be held todays and Saturdays from July 1st through September 19th at ArtSpace Falls Church, 410 South Maple Avenue.

The Ogunquit Playhouse will present the New England premiere of THE HUNCHBACK OF NOTRE DAME, on stage from July 13 to August 6, making the Playhouse one of the first regional theaters in the U.S. to stage this new musical.

LCT3/Lincoln Center Theater will open its 2016-2017 season with the world premiere of THE HARVEST, by Samuel D. Hunter, directed by Davis McCallum. THE HARVEST, whose cast will feature Gideon Glick, Scott Jaeck, Leah Karpel, Madeleine Martin, Peter Mark Kendall, Christopher Sears, and Zoe Winters, will begin performances Saturday, October 8th, and run for six weeks only through Sunday, November 20th at the Claire Tow Theater. Opening Night is Monday, October 24th.

MEN ON BOATS, the critically-acclaimed comedy which premiered at Clubbed Thumb's 2015 Summerworks Festival, announced today casting for its return this summer in a co-production by Clubbed Thumb and Playwrights Horizons.

The cast is set for 'Grey Gardens' The Musical at CTG/Ahmanson Theatre. Directed by Michael Wilson, 'Grey Gardens' The Musical will begin previews on July 6, with the opening set for July 13, 2016. Performances continue through August 14.

Theatre Communications Group (TCG), the national organization for theatre, is pleased to announce the inaugural cohort of the Rising Leaders of Color (RLC) Program.

New York/Seattle-based director Brandon Ivie (Jasper in Deadland, Lizard Boy) has been named as the new Associate Artistic Director of Village Theatre. Ivie's main role will be as creative lead on new musical development through the company's Village Originals program, beginning July 1.
