Paris Photo Los Angeles concluded Sunday with genuine excitement over the inaugural United States edition of the renowned Paris fair for artworks in the photographic medium. Over 13,500 visitors flocked to the historic Paramount Pictures Studios to view works by masters and emerging artists from an international roster of exhibitors, including 60 galleries and 12 booksellers from cities such as Los Angeles, New York, Paris, London, Mexico City, Seoul, Tokyo, Hong Kong, St. Moritz, Marrakech, Amsterdam, Vienna, Berlin and more.
Cast members from the Tony, Grammy and Olivier Award-winning hit musical JERSEY BOYS will be featured on 'Wheel of Fortune' beginning tonight and through the month of May to celebrate the 30th Anniversary of the popular TV game show. Cast members will appear tonight, Monday, April 29; Tuesday, May 7; Friday, May 17 and Friday, May 24. 'Wheel of Fortune' airs at 7:30pm on Channel 7 in the New York area. Broadway San Jose, a partnership between the Nederlander organization of New York and Team San Jose, announced the six shows in its 2013-14 Season today at an event attended by approximately 500 Subscribers and community leaders at the San Jose Center for Performing Arts in downtown San Jose. Headlining the Broadway San Jose season will be a three-week run of WICKED, the Tony Award winning musical that maintains its position as the top selling musical on Broadway, nine years after its premiere.
Amphibian presents the New York premiere of Matthew Greenbaum's Rope and Chasm, an evening-length work for mezzo-soprano and video animation based on Nietzsche's Also Sprach Zarathustra featuring Re'ut Ben-Ze'ev. It is made up of a series of episodes in which the mezzo sings with a pre-recorded musical score and interacts with numerous video characters, including a leech expert, a tightrope walker, and a half-mole, half-human 'spirit of gravity.' Greenbaum is both the composer and video animator. Rope and Chasm was premiered in its entirety by Network for New Music in Philadelphia, 2012.

San Antonio legend Vivienne Elborne directs this uproarious comedy starring Greg Hinojosa (Woodlawn's Artistic Director) as down-and-out producer Max Bialystock, Walter Songer as Max's timid accountant Leo Bloom and Paige Blend as Ulla, the Swedish bombshell that Bialystock and Bloom hire as their receptionist. Most recently, Hinojosa appeared in Neil Simon's romantic comedy 'Chapter 2' produced in Woodlawn Theatre's Black Box and directed by Mrs. Elborne. The 'Bloom' to Hinojosa's 'Bialystock', Walter Songer returns to the Woodlawn stage after being featured as Malcolm McGregor in 'The Full Monty'. And Paige Blend was most recently seen in The Playhouse's world premiere of 'Roads Courageous'.
