Blues at the Beach at Indian Ranch just got bigger. The show featuring B.B. King with Robert Randolph and The Family Band and Shemekia Copeland on Sunday, July 13 has added three regional blues bands to the lineup. The ThrowDown Band, The Cannibal Ramblers, and Ten Foot Polecats will all perform on the Indian Ranch Corral Stage starting at 12noon. The main stage festivities begin at 2:00PM making it a day of non-stop blues on the lake.

The National Alliance For Musical Theatre (NAMT) announced today its selections for the 26th Annual Festival of New Musicals. Beautiful Poison, Cubamor, Great Wall, How To Break, Mary Marie, The Noteworthy Life of Howard Barnes, String and Stu For Silverton make up the eight new musicals that will be presented at the 26th Annual Festival of New Musicals on Thursday, October 23, 2014 and Friday, October 24, 2014 at New World Stages (340 West 50th Street).

Beginning at 5 p.m. tonight, three hours before the main GRAMMY Awards show, the pre-telecast Ceremony will announce awards in 70 additional categories, including musical theater. It will be hosted by David Alan Grier, who is nominated for a Grammy for his performance in The Gershwin's PORGY AND BESS on Broadway.

Overall, Dan Auerbach (The Black Keys), FUN., Jay-Z, Mumford & Sons, Frank Ocean, and Kanye West top the nominations with six each; The Black Keys, Chick Corea, and Miguel each garner five nods; and producer Jeff Bhasker, mastering engineer Bob Ludwig and Nas are each up for four awards.

The Aurora City Council voted last night to award the Aurora Civic Center Authority (ACCA) an 18-month agreement to provide programming and venue management services for the new RiverEdge Music Garden and John C. Dunham Pavilion, a premier regional festival park currently under construction in downtown Aurora along the banks of the Fox River.

King, Keb Mo, Susan Tedeschi and Derek Trucks, with Taraji P. Henson as the program host and Booker T. Jones as music director and band leader.
