Broadway's Manu Narayan Will Lead THE CURE At NYMF 9/29-10/11

Manu Narayan (Bombay Dreams on Broadway, subUrbia at Second Stage, The Love Guru starring Mike Myers) will star in the rock and roll vampire musical The Cure, running September 29th-October 11th at the American Theatre of Actors in the upcoming 2009 New York Musical Theatre Festival. Written by Mark Weiser, The Cure will feature direction from Elizabeth Lucas (Wild About Harry, The Last Starfighter, and The View From Here at NYMF), and is produced by The New York Musical Theatre Festival and Samantha Saltzman.

Based on a true study, R.R.R.E.D., with music & lyrics by Katie Thompson & book by Adam Jackman, Patrick Livingston & Katie Thompson, is directed by Andy Sandberg (Tony Award winning Producer of Hair), with musical supervision by Charlie Alterman (Next to Normal).

Casting is complete for Andy Warhol Was Right, a new multimedia dance production conceived by Melinda Atwood, Sammy Buck, Dan Acquisto, Daryl Gray, Giovanna Sardelli, and Shea Sullivan, premiering in the 2009 New York Musical Theatre Festival at the Manhattan Movement & Arts Center, running from September 30th through October 4th.

Katie Thompson was last seen in Michael John LaChusia's GIANT at The Signature Theater in Washington D.C. where she recieved rave reviews! In New York she has performed in workshops for Duncan Sheik's The Lighthouse Project, Michael John LaChusia's Giant and Scott Alan's Piece, and sang at Broadway's Acoustic Soul and Broadway Loves Country as the only performer not IN a Broadway show.
