Pulling from Chicago's most celebrated live lit producers and storytellers, Welcome to PleasureTown will premier for a limited engagement at Stage 773's cabaret space in October. The show, described by its creators as "Prairie Home Companion meets Caligula," blends storytelling, theatre and folk music to create a unique night of poignant comedy.
New York City storytelling sensation The Moth announces the full cast for its 2013 Moth Mainstage in Pittsburgh, with three local tellers and a popular local musician participating. Presented by Pittsburgh Arts & Lectures, the fifth-annual local appearance of The Moth Mainstage will take place Thursday, August 22, 7:30 p.m., at the Byham Theater. This is the first time The Moth Mainstage has been presented in the Cultural District, through a new partnership between Pittsburgh Arts & Lectures and the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust.
