HAMLET Previews At Theater For A New Audience 3/15

Theatre for a New Audience's Winter-Spring Shakespeare Season which began with Othello (February 14 - March 7) continues with Hamlet which previews Sunday, March 15, at 7:00pm, opens Thursday, March 26, at 6:30pm and plays through April 19. Both productions play at The Duke on 42nd StreetSM, a New 42nd Street? project, 229 West 42nd Street.

Brunstetter's OOHRAH Makes European Premiere 3/2

The European Premiere of a new play OOHRAH by Bekah Brunstetter Listen. There's nothin goin down over there. Anybody who's over there is just trainin' the new police. Playin' card games, accidentally settin' flares off and lightin' their own pants on fire. It's not a f**kin' video game, it's not Vietnam, it's California, it's Summer camp.' In Fayetteville, North Carolina, sits one of the South's largest military bases. Practically everybody's somebody is over there. Flight Attendant Abby has finally agreed to settle down with her thoroughly unmilitary fianc?. Her sister Sara is thrilled to have her own husband back home once and for all. But when a mysterious Marine shows up on Abby's red-eye flight, all bets on stability are off. Oohrah! asks how we can remain true to ourselves when the pressures of domestic and military expectation threaten all.

Shakespeare's Globe Celebrates Valentines W/ YOUNG HEARTS

Shakespeare's Globe celebrates Valentine's Day, Saturday 14 February, with the launch of public booking for its 2009 theatre season Young Hearts. The season opens on Shakespeare's birthday, Thursday 23 April, and will include four Shakespeare plays and three pieces of new writing that explore the great expanse of the heart - from purity to wild passion, and from the rekindling of old love to an evergreen love of life.

London Evening Standard theatre critic Nicholas de Jongh's Plague Over London, which was first presented at the tiny Finbourgh Theatre in Earls Court will transfer to the West End. It begins a limited engagement at the Duchess Theatre on February 11th, 2009.

Shakespeare's Globe is delighted to announce its 2009 theatre season, which opens on Shakespeare's birthday, 23 April, and goes under the overall title of Young Hearts. The Shakespeare plays will be Romeo and Juliet, As You Like It, Troilus and Cressida and a revival of Dominic Dromgoole's 2007 production of Love's Labour's Lost, prior to embarking upon a North American tour in the autumn.

Shakespeare's Globe is delighted to announce its 2009 theatre season, which opens on Shakespeare's birthday, 23 April, and goes under the overall title of Young Hearts. The Shakespeare plays will be Romeo and Juliet, As You Like It, Troilus and Cressida and a revival of Dominic Dromgoole's 2007 production of Love's Labour's Lost, prior to embarking upon a North American tour in the autumn. The 2009 theatre season will also include a range of new work including the Globe's first excursion into full-scale Greek drama in a new version of Euripedes' Helen by Frank McGuinness; A New World, marking the 200th anniversary of the death of Thomas Paine, by Trevor Griffiths and the return of Ch? Walker's explosive, panoramic and funny tale of contemporary London life, The Frontline.

Spring Shakespeare Season Continues With HAMLET

Theatre for a New Audience's Winter-Spring Shakespeare Season which begins with Othello (February 14 - March 7) continues with Hamlet which previews Sunday, March 15, at 7:00pm, opens Thursday, March 26, at 6:30pm and plays through April 19. Both productions play at The Duke on 42nd Street SM, a New 42nd Street? project, 229 West 42nd Street. Hamlet features Christian Camargo in the title role. The production is directed by David Esbjornson. Joining Mr. Camargo will be Alyssa Bresnahan as Gertrude, Alvin Epstein as Polonius, Graham Hamilton as Laertes, Jennifer Ikeda as Ophelia and Patrick Page as Claudius.

Thompson, Eisenberg, Rylance Lead The Cast Of OTHELLO

Theatre for a New Audience and director, Arin Arbus, is set to present Othello. The show will feature John Douglas Thompson as Othello, Ned Eisenberg as Iago, and Juliet Rylance as Desdemona. Previews begin February 14 at 7 pm. The show opens February 22.

Countryman, Hickey, Rudko, Tucci, Murray & More Join MARY STUART Cast; Previews Begin 3/30

Additional casting has been announced for the Donmar Warehouse production of MARY STUART, Friedrich Schiller's classic play in a new version by Peter Oswald, which opens April 19, 2009 at the Broadhurst Theatre (235 West 44th Street). The production, starring its acclaimed original London leads Janet McTeer and Harriet Walter and directed by Phyllida Lloyd, begins previews on March 30, 2009 for a limited run of 20 weeks only.
