UK's National Theatre's ALL'S WELL THAT ENDS WELL To Be Broadcast To 330 Cinemas Worldwide

Shakespeare's ALL'S WELL THAT ENDS WELL, in a highly acclaimed production by Marianne Elliott, will be filmed live at the National Theatre in London on 1st October and broadcast by satellite to cinemas worldwide. All?s Well is the second play in the pilot season of NT Live, the National?s ground-breaking initiative which launched in June with the hugely successful broadcast of Phèdre with Helen Mirren, which was seen by 50,000 people in 19 countries around the globe. ALL'S WELL will be the first play broadcast from the largest of the National's three theatres, the Olivier, with its fan-shaped auditorium and open stage.

Shakespeare's Globe Returns To The States With LOVE'S LABOUR'S LOST 10/20-12/23

Following their heralded tour of 'Measure for Measure' in 2005, the venerable Shakespeare's Globe Theatre of London returns to the United States from October 20th through December 23rd with the triumphant production of 'Love's Labour's Lost', directed by Shakespeare's Globe Artistic Director, Dominic Dromgoole. This is the first American tour under Mr. Dromgoole's stewardship.

LOVE'S LABOURS LOST To Conclude Summer Season At Shakespeare's Globe Before US Tour

Shakespeare?s Globe will revive Dominic Dromgoole?s 2007 production of Love's Labour's Lost between September 25 and October 10, concluding the Globe's highly successful 2009 summer theatre season. Following its run in London, it will transfer to the US for a two month tour of North America ? the first under Dominic's direction of the Globe ? visiting Ann Arbor, Philadelphia, Berkeley, Davis, Santa Barbara, Santa Monica, Holyoke and New York.

The Jericho House Presents KATRINA With Harris, Dennis, Langton & More, Previews 9/1

The Jericho House will present Katrina, a promenade production composed entirely of accounts provided by both survivors and those responsible for the failed relief effort following the hurricane which destroyed the city of New Orleans in 2005. Written and directed by Jonathan Holmes, Katrina will be performed by Andrew Dennis, Andrea Harris, Stephanie Langton, Wunmi Mosaku, Joe Speare and Orlando Wells. The newly composed score and immersive sound design, featuring indigenous New Orleans music, is by Peter Readman and Peter Nash.

Downie, McGann Set For Frank McGuinness' HELEN At Shakespeare's Globe 8/2-8/23

Penny Downie and Paul McGann take the lead roles in the world première of Helen - Frank McGuinness's new version of Euripides' classic - at Shakespeare's Globe between 2 and 23 August 2009. Under the direction of Deborah Bruce, this is the Globe's first excursion into full-scale Greek drama and continues Dominic Dromgoole's commitment to new writing.

CST's World's Stage Series Begins With Production Of Ilotopie's Water Fools 8/21, 8/22

Chicago Shakespeare Theater (CST) kicks off its celebrated World's Stage Series this summer hosting the American debut of Ilotopie, a French performance troupe world-renowned for creating waterborne theatrical wonders. The company's production of Water Fools (Fous de Bassin) is a thrilling 60 minute spectacle transforming the waters of Lake Michigan into a world where cars drive on water, heads burst into flames and a 12-foot tall lady rides by on a penny farthing.
