Two River Theater Company welcomes high school students from around the state to audition for two upcoming programs: PlayBack and its Metro Scholar program.

An exciting and welcome new production of Brian Friel's highly popular masterpiece 'Philadelphia, Here I Come!' is being produced by Noel Pearson, and will play the Gaiety Theatre, Dublin from March 10th (previews) 2010 for a limited season.

Arden Theatre Company presents William Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet from February 25-April 11, under the direction of Matt Pfeiffer and featuring a diverse ensemble cast of Philadelphia favorites. This story of love, violence and the consequences of both brings one of the English language's greatest stories to life on the Arden's F. Otto Haas stage. This production is sponsored by Fox Chase Bank.

Mark Ravenhill and Bette Bourne's two man play, 'A Life in Three Acts' comes to St. Ann's Warehouse in March for a limited run. The play will run March 4 through the 28. This month (February 8-27) the show is playing at SoHo Theatre in London. Ticket information is forthcoming.

Northrop Dance at the University of Minnesota and the Walker Art Center present the Midwest debut of British sensation Akram Khan Company performing bahok at 8 pm Wednesday, March 3, at Northrop. The contemporary work embodies the many different styles of Khan's multinational company, fusing traditional South Asian dance with modern movement.

Artistic Director of the internationally acclaimed Donmar Warehouse, Michael Grandage, today announced new details surrounding the new Donmar season through until February 2011 including. Casting has been announced for Polar Bears; David Leveaux has been pronounced director of Simon Gray's The Late Middle Class; von Kleist's The Prince of Homburg has been added to the season; new events in celebration of Sondheim's 80th birthday - in addition to the production of Passion - have been revealed; and Michael Grandage has been confirmed to direct Derek Jacobi in King Lear.

David Hirson was born in New York City and was educated at Yale and Oxford. He is the author of two plays for the theatre, La Bête (1991) and Wrong Mountain (2000), both of which have been produced on Broadway. He has received numerous honours for his work, including the 1992 Laurence Olivier Award for Best Comedy. The original Broadway production of La Bête was nominated for five Tony awards in 1991. A collected edition of his plays is published by Grove Press. He is currently working on a new version of Die Fledermaus for the Metropolitan Opera.
