Photo Flash: Coming of Age Tale 46 BEACON is in Rehearsal

Oliver Coopersmith (Netflix's I-Boy and the lead in forthcoming Sky Atlantic series Tin Star opposite Tim Roth and Christina Hendricks) and Jay Taylor (Prime Suspect 1973, Nell Gwynn and Wolf Hall/Bring up the Bodies) will star in the West End debut of 46 Beacon, playing the roles of Alan and Robert respectively in this coming-of-age and coming-out play set in 1970's America.

Full Cast Announced for the Mountain Play Presentation of HAIR

The Mountain Play - Casting is complete for the Mountain Play's production of HAIR In Concert, which will be presented as part of the Magic Mountain Play Music Festival commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Summer of Love and the first ever outdoor rock festival - the Fantasy Fair and Magic Mountain Music Festival. HAIR In Concertwill take place on Saturday, June 10, 2017. www.MountainPlay.org  

THE CARDINAL Finds Full Company at Southwark Payhouse

Natalie Simpson (Royal Shakespeare Company's recent productions of King Lear, Hamlet and Cymbeline) joins an eleven-strong cast to play Duchess Rosaura alongside the previously announced Stephen Boxer in THE CARDINAL at Southwark Playhouse. James Shirley's tragic masterpiece, directed by Justin Audibert, plays from 26 April - 27 May with a press performance on 28 April.

Artistic Director Robert Hastie Appoints New Associates

Artistic Director of Sheffield Theatres, Robert Hastie, today announces the appointment of three new Associates for the company - Javaad Alipoor, Artistic Director of Bradford based Northern Lines; award-winning director Caroline Steinbeis, and leading casting director Wendy Spon, also renewing her association with the company for whom she was previously Head of Casting.

Cardboard Citizens Announce Casting For HOME TRUTHS: A Season Of Nine Brand New Plays Exploring The History Of Housing

The award-winning theatre company Cardboard Citizens has today announced casting for its season of new work at The Bunker in London this April. Celebrating 25 years of making work with and for homeless people, the company will continue its exploration of the state of housing in nine new plays commissioned by Cardboard Citizens from some of the UK's most exciting playwrights.

Target Margin Theater to Stage Rare Revival of O'Neill's MOURNING BECOMES ELECTRA

As the centerpiece of the Company's 25th anniversary season, Target Margin Theater and Abrons Arts Center will present a rare revival of Eugene O'Neill's great trilogy, Mourning Becomes Electra, directed by Herskovits, and running April 26-May 20. Part Greek tragedy, part family play, part history play, Mourning Becomes Electra (O'Neill's 1931 adaptation of Aeschylus 'The Oresteia') mashes myth, Freudian psychology and melodrama into an epic six hour production.

Stories of Three Women with Ties to the Middle East Make Up ANGEL & ECHOES, Part of Brits Off-Broadway at 59E59 Theaters

59E59 Theaters (Elysabeth Kleinhans, Artistic Director; Peter Tear, Executive Producer; Brian Beirne, Managing Director) is thrilled to host Henry Naylor's ANGEL & ECHOES at the 2017 Brits Off Broadway festival. Directed by Michael Cabot (ANGEL) and Emma Butler(ECHOES), and produced by Redbeard Theatre Ltd with Gilded Balloon Production, ANGEL & ECHOESbegins performances on Tuesday, April 11 for a limited engagement through Sunday, May 7.  Press Opening is Sunday, April 16 at 3:15 PM. Lyric Hammersmith Announces New Season

The Lyric Hammersmith has announced its new season running May 2017 to January 2018 including three major new productions: a UK premiere, a new adaptation of a classic and the return of the now traditional Lyric pantomime.

Bush Theatre Announces Casting for WHILE WE'RE HERE

Bush Theatre has announced today for While We're Here, a new play by acclaimed writer Barney Norris (Visitors, Bush Theatre; Eventide, Arcola Theatre). Alice Hamilton will direct Tessa Peake-Jones (Only Fools and Horses, BBC; Beacons, Park Theatre) and Andrew French (The Iphigenia Quartet, Gate Theatre; Boi, Boi is Dead, West Yorkshire Playhouse) in this world premiere which opens the Bush Theatre's brand new 60 seat Studio.   

Shakespeare in the Squares Announces 2017 Production of ROMEO AND JULIET

Shakespeare in the Squares today announces its 2017 production of Romeo and Juliet, directed by Tatty Hennessy, which tours to London's squares and parks from 21 June to 13 July, with a press night at Norland Square on 27 June.  The tour follows the company's successful inaugural production of Much Ado About Nothing in summer 2016 which was performed to sell-out audiences in nine squares across London.

The Watermill Theatre Announces Cast of TWELFTH NIGHT

Artistic and Executive Director, Paul Hart today announces the company for his new production of Twelfth Night continuing The Watermill Theatre's bold, ensemble driven approach to Shakespeare. Twelfth Night runs from 6 April to 6 May and in repertoire with Hart's 2016 production of Romeo + Juliet from 18 to 22 July. Both productions will tour nationally from Tuesday 16 May to Thursday 3 August
