National Theatre Live continues its season with the Derek Jacobi's hugely acclaimed performance as Shakespeare's KING LEAR, directed by Michael Grandage at the Donmar Warehouse. National Theatre Live is an initiative by the UK's National Theatre to broadcast live performances onto cinema screens around the world. KING LEAR marks National Theatre Live's second collaboration with another British theatre company, following the highly successful broadcast of Complicite's A Disappearing Number last year.

The Dallas Opera's 2010-11 season revolves around "Dangerous Desires," a theme of romantic drama and political intrigue, and the February 11-27 production of Gounod's Romeo et Juliette in the celebrated Winspear Opera House presents that most iconic story of love and conflict, starring two vocal up-and-comers, Russian soprano Lyubov Petrova and New York-born tenor Charles Castronovo.

A haunting American classic, THE TRIP TO BOUNTIFUL marks the first Cleveland Play House production of a work by Pulitzer Prize- and Academy Award-winner Horton Foote, and the world-premiere performance of this play by an African-American cast. Receiving the blessing of Hallie Foote, daughter of the playwright, this co-production with Round House Theatre is helmed by Timothy Douglas and stars preeminent African-American actress Lizan Mitchell as Carrie Watts. THE TRIP TO BOUNTIFUL begins in the Drury Theatre at Cleveland Play House on Friday, February 4 and runs through Sunday, February 27, 2011. BLOCK, DANIEL BREAKER, KIMBERLY HÉBERT GREGORY, KEVIN ISOLA and KAREN OLIVO will star in the world premiere comedy, BY THE WAY, MEET VERA STARK, the new play by Lynn Nottage, directed by Jo Bonney. BY THE WAY, MEET VERA STARK is Ms. Nottage's first play to be produced in New York since she won the Pulitzer Prize for Ruined in 2009.

Barton Bishop's Up, Up, Down, Down combines the addictive lure of video gaming with the paranoia of the Bush years and throws in a love story for good measure. New York Theatre Experiment will present the World Premiere of this multi-media dark comedy, directed by Erik Pearson, on February 3rd at the Access Theatre, located at 380 Broadway.
