Cast And Creative Team Confirmed For GHOSTS At Royal & Derngate

The full cast and creative team has been confirmed for Royal & Derngate's world premiere production of a brand new version by Mike Poulton of Henrik Ibsen's masterpiece Ghosts, opening in Northampton in April. The cast will be led by Penny Downie, James Wilby, Declan Conlon and Pierro Niel-Mee, and the play is directed by Lucy Bailey with Mike Britton as designer, Oliver Fenwick as lighting designer and Richard Hammarton as sound designer and composer.

Cincinnati Shakespeare Company to Present Shakespeare's Infamous Tragedy, MACBETH

Cincinnati Shakespeare Company continues its 25th Anniversary Season at The Otto M. Budig Theater with William Shakespeare's Macbeth. The production is directed by Cincinnati Shakespeare Company's Associate Artist Miranda McGee and features a 21 person cast featuring CSC Resident Ensemble Members Giles Davies as Macbeth, Kelly Mengelkoch as Lady Macbeth, Grant Niezgodski as Macduff, and Justin McCombs as Banquo. Macbeth is generously sponsored by Kelley & David Downing, Judge (Ret.) Mark P. Painter & Sue Ann Painter, the Pete Strange Family, as well as PNC Bank and Taft Law.

Danny Mac Joins Cast of the UK Tour of AMELIE

West End performer, Strictly Come Dancing favourite and television actor Danny Mac has been confirmed to join the UK tour of Amelie The Musical, based on the much-loved, five-time Oscar-nominated film. Joining previously announced French-Canadian stage and screen star Audrey Brisson as Amelie Poulain, Danny Mac will play the sweet daydreamer Nino Quincampoix from 22 May. The role of Nino will be played by Chris Jared during performances at The Watermill Theatre.

Petula Clark and Joseph Millson Will Join MARY POPPINS

Petula Clark and Joseph Millson will join the Company to play the Bird Woman and George Banks in the new production of Mary Poppins, which returns to its original West End home at the Prince Edward Theatre from 23 October 2019. They join the previously announced Zizi Strallen in the title role and Charlie Stemp as Bert.

Full Casting Announced For THE OMISSION OF THE FAMILY COLEMAN At The Ustinov Studio

Full casting is announced today for The Omission of the Family Coleman by Claudio Tolcachir, in a new version by Stella Feehily and directed by Laurence Boswell at Theatre Royal Bath's Ustinov Studio. Laoisha O'Callaghan, David Crowley, Anne Kent, Evanna Lynch, Rowan Polonski, Robert Mountford, Patrick Moy, Natalie Radmall-Quirke will appear in the UK Premiere which runs from Thursday 28 March to Saturday 27 April with opening night for press on Wednesday 3 April and completes the venue's Season of UK Premieres from the Americas

David Mirvish in a co-production with the Royal Manitoba Theatre Centre presents A DOLL'S HOUSE, PART 2 by Lucas Hnath. Starring four outstanding Canadian actors and directed by Krista Jackson, this brilliant and audacious play is performed March 23 to April 14, 2019 at Toronto's CAA Theatre as part of the Off-Mirvish Season. 

Hattie Morahan & Seth Numrich Will Lead Theatr Clwyd and Menier Chocolate Factory's ORPHEUS DESCENDING

The full cast is announced for the Theatr Clwyd and Menier Chocolate Factory co-production of Tennessee Williams' Orpheus Descending. Theatr Clwyd's Artistic Director Tamara Harvey directs Catrin Aaron (Beulah Binnings), Michael Geary (Pee Wee Binnings), Valentine Hanson (Uncle Pleasant), Jenny Livsey (Eva Temple / Woman), Laura Jane Matthewson (Dolly Hamma), Mark Meadows (Jabe Torrance), Ifan Meredith (David Cutrere / Dog Hamma), Hattie Morahan (Lady Torrance), Seth Numrich (Val Xavier), Ian Porter (Sheriff Talbott), Jemima Rooper (Carol Cutrere), Carol Royle (Vee Talbott) and Carrie Quinlan (Sister / Nurse Porter). Public booking for the Menier Chocolate Factory dates opens at 9am today.

Beware The Ides Of March! Gamut Theatre Presents JULIUS CAESAR

Gamut Theatre Group's Harrisburg Shakespeare Company (HSC) is bringing its touring production of Julius Caesar to the Select Medical Mainstage at Gamut Theatre located at 15 N. 4th Street in downtown Harrisburg. The production will open on March 15, 2019.  The box office and bar will open at 6:30 p.m. and the play will begin at 7:30 p.m. Tickets to the performance are $15 and can be purchased in advance at www.GamutTheatre.org/tickets. 

Virginia Stage Company and Norfolk State University Theatre Company Present Toni Morrison's THE BLUEST EYE

Nobel and Pulitzer Prize-winning author Toni Morrison's first novel comes to life at the Wells Theatre. The Bluest Eye, directed by Khanisha Foster, follows the story of young Pecola in 1940's Ohio who is pregnant at her father's hands. She is taken in by a loving family and cared for by brilliant and kind sisters, Frieda and Claudia. The character-driven play, both poetic and daringly funny, illuminates the destructive powers of racism and class dynamics while exploring the power of community through exquisite storytelling. The Bluest Eye is produced in collaboration with Norfolk State University Theatre Company.
