The world premiere of the stage adaptation of Studio Ghibli’s My Neighbour Totoro which will open at the Barbican for a strictly limited run this autumn in collaboration with Improbable and Nippon TV.

ANOTHER REVOLUTION Premieres at Gulfshore Playhouse This Week

For the final production of the 2021-2022 professional season, Gulfshore Playhouse announces the world premiere of “Another Revolution” by Jacqueline Bircher. The performance runs from April 30 through May 15, with preview performances on April 28 and 29.

Robert Icke’s (Animal Farm, The Wild Duck, Hamlet, Mary Stuart, Oresteia, 1984) sold- out, five-star Almeida Theatre production, The Doctor, will tour to Theatre Royal Brighton (5-10 September), Bath (13-17 September) and Richmond (19-24 September) before transferring to the Duke of York’s Theatre from 29 September – 11 December 2022.

The Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC) announced that Gregory Doran will step down as Artistic Director from today after 35 years with the Company including the last ten years as Artistic Director.

Washington Stage Guild to Present MEMOIRS OF A FORGOTTEN MAN

The Washington Stage Guild will conclude its 2021-2022 season with Memoirs of a Forgotten Man by D.W. Gregory. The play, which had its world premiere at The Contemporary American Theatre Festival in 2018, takes place in the Stalinist Soviet Union, where a man’s inability to forget those whom the government has “erased” becomes increasingly problematic for him and his family.

Yale Repertory Theatre to Present BETWEEN TWO KNEES

Yale Repertory Theatre will conclude its 2022 season with Between Two Knees. The play, written by the intertribal sketch comedy troupe The 1491s and directed by Eric Ting, is presented with Oregon Shakespeare Festival. Between Two Knees will be performed May 12–June 4 at Yale Repertory Theatre (1120 Chapel Street).
