Noted British actor and BAFTA Award winner Rhys Ifans (The Amazing Spider-Man, Notting Hill) is the most recent actor to join the cast of the SHOWTIME comedy pilot TRENDING DOWN.

Kentwood Players proudly presents the comedy rock musical 'Little Shop of Horrors' with book by Howard Ashman and music and lyrics by Alan Menken, from September 13 through October 19, 2013 for a six-week run on Fridays and Saturdays at 8pm with Sunday matinees at 2pm at the Westchester Playhouse, located at 8301 Hindry Avenue, Los Angeles, CA 90045. The production is directed and choreographed by Michael-Anthony Nozzi with musical direction by Joshua Eli Kranz.

Theatre By The Sea (TBTS) will conclude the blockbuster 2013 season with a glamorous production of LA CAGE AUX FOLLES, a 'modern family' musical. This sparkling all new production will be on stage for three weeks only starting tonight, August 14 and playing through Sunday, September 1, 2013.

As the dog days of summer needlessly drag on in Houston, enveloping the city in oppressive heat, Michael J. Ross' MJR Theatricals | Music Box Musicals is presenting LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS. Roger Corman's notorious 1960 low-budget horror-themed comedy The Little Shop of Horrors serves as the basis for this cult favorite and classic musical. The cherished musical premiered on May 6, 1982 at the Workshop of the Players' Art (WPA) Theatre. It went on to garner critical acclaim Off-Broadway when it opened on July 27, 1982 at the Orpheum Theatre. The Off-Broadway production enjoyed 2,209 performances across its 5 year run. Its popularity and notoriety lead to the 1986 film adaption of the musical as well. 31 years later, the musical is still a favorite among producers and audiences alike, and MJR Theatricals | Music Box Musicals' production easily proves why.

Anyone who's seen any of the annual Zilker summer musicals in Austin's Zilker Park know that, though the productions are free to the public, the entertainment value and quality are always top-notch. The Harlem Fine Arts Show (@HFAS2013), a leading showcase for modern and contemporary African Diasporic art, returns to Martha's Vineyard for the second straight year today, August 5th through 11th. Having outgrown its previous location, the show will be held at Martha's Vineyard Regional High School located at 100 Vineyard Haven Road in Oak Bluffs, Mass. Famed artists, galleries and jewelers will participate in this seven-day festival. Special events include a breakfast event panel, golf tournament, music performances and free BBQ lunch.

James Gillan (Wicked, Taboo) and Paul Spicer (Avenue Q, The Last 5 Years) will headline the world premiere of the brand new British born musical The 8th Fold in a specially conceived concert staging. Classic Stage Company, under the leadership of Artistic Director Brian Kulick and Executive Director Greg Reiner, announced today additional casting for its upcoming production of Shakespeare's Romeo & Juliet starring Elizabeth Olsen as Juliet. Academy Award winner William Hurt will play the role of Friar Laurence; Emmy Award nominee T.R. Knight has been cast as Mercutio and Tony Award nominee Daphne Rubin-Vega as the Nurse. CSC also announced that Finn Wittrock, previously announced to co-star as Romeo, has withdrawn from the production due to a film offer. A new Romeo and complete casting will be announced shortly. CSC's Romeo & Juliet, which begins performances Friday, September 27, will be directed by Tea Alagi? (Jackie). The official opening night is Wednesday, October 16. Romeo & Juliet will play a limited engagement through Sunday, November 3. Tickets will go on sale Thursday, September 5 at 12pm.

Deadline.com reports that Lionsgate has acquired U.S. distribution rights for A MOST WANTED MAN, directed by Anton Cobjin. The adaptation of John le Carre's novel stars Philip Seymour Hoffman, Rachel McAdams, Robin Wright and Willem Dafoe.

Dynamic contemporary dance company BODYTRAFFIC makes its Jacob's Pillow debut today, July 31- August 4 in the Doris Duke Theatre.
