The National High School Musical Theater Awards (NHSMTA) is pleased to announce that 56 high school students from across America will compete for the coveted Jimmy Award for Best Performance by an Actor and Best Performance by an Actress, at the 6th annual presentation at the Minskoff Theatre on Monday, June 30. Ryan McCartan, 2011 Jimmy Award winner, will host the 2-hour talent showcase that features dynamic ensemble and solo performances. McCartan recently starred as JD in the Off-Broadway hit musical, Heathers, appears regularly as Diggy in Liv & Maddie on the Disney Channel, and is a recurring character on the USA Network's Royal Pains. The event will be held at the Minskoff Theatre (200 W. 45th St) and begins at 7:30 pm.

Ben Fields has released his debut album Extraordinary Light via Sire Records on Tuesday, which landed at #7 on iTunes' Singer/Songwriter Album chart and #6 on Amazon's similar chart. Following his TV debut as he performed on Monday night's episode of ABC's The Bachelorette, Fields' lead single, 'Extraordinary Light' jumped to the #1 Hot New Single Release on Amazon's Singer/Songwriter chart and #8 on iTunes' Singer/Songwriter Singles chart. The album also managed the biggest gain in sales within its first 24 hours on Amazon, bringing it to #4 on their Movers and Shakers chart.

LABA: A Laboratory for Jewish Culture, working in collaboration with choreographer Renana Raz, whose work has been called 'brilliant' by the Israeli press, is pleased to announce the first-ever international production of MOTHER.NET. The show aims to take the usually isolated experience of watching YouTube videos and turns it into a public experience. Honorees will be on hand to receive their awards and Philip Seymour Hoffman, Ruth Maleczech and Nicholas Martin will be posthumously inducted into the Off Broadway Hall of Fame.

Popular contemporary company Hubbard Street Dance Chicago returns to Jacob's Pillow Dance Festival for the first time since 2010, bringing a sensational mixed-bill program. Directed by Glenn Edgerton, the 18-member company performs the dramatic Mediterranean-inspired Gnawa, choreographed by Nacho Duato, and Ji?í Kylián's vivid Falling Angels, a stark all-female work danced to “Drumming” by contemporary composer Steve Reich.
