On April 2, THE ADDAMS FAMILY star Nathan Lane appeared on the Late Show with David Letterman to talk about all things ADDAMS. In addition to discussing some show highlights, he revealed what it was like to perform for the Obama family, who recently took a trip to New York to see the production. Lane reveals that First Lady Michelle Obama herself took the time to write a hand written thank-you note to Lane for giving her one of the 'best nights she's ever had in the theater.' Greene Space Hosts Talk with MEMPHIS' Kimball, Glover & More, 4/5

On Monday, April 5th at 7pm, WNYC's The Greene Space goes behind the scenes of Memphis with bookwriter and co-lyricist Joe Pietro (I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change) and stars Montego Glover and Chad Kimball. This is an intimate opportunity to spend an evening with some of the people behind one of Broadway's newest plays, recently seen by First Lady Michelle Obama and her family.

MEMPHIS Rocks Barnes & Noble at Cast Recording Event 4/6

The original musical MEMPHIS, the show that's currently blowing the roof off Broadway, will celebrate the retail release of their Original Cast Recording with an in-store performance and CD signing at Barnes and Noble Lincoln Center (1972 Broadway at 66th Street) at 4pm on Tuesday, April 6, 2010.

The Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County announced its 5th Anniversary Broadway in Miami 2010-2011/Broadway Across America season with a line-up of five Tony® Award-winning Miami premiere engagements. The 5th Anniversary season kicks off October 2010 at the Sanford and Dolores Ziff Ballet Opera House with an all-new production of DREAMGIRLS direct from New York's Apollo Theater; followed by a December limited holiday engagement: NETworks presents Disney's BEAUTY AND THE BEAST- the enchanting, romantic musical for all generations; March brings in two of Broadway's biggest blockbusters and Best Musical Tony® winners: JERSEY BOYS, the story of rock 'n roll Hall of Famers, The Four Seasons, followed by the Latino hit musical IN THE HEIGHTS. June closes the season with HAIR, the 2009 Tony® Award winner for Best Musical Revival.

MEMPHIS Broadway Cast Recording Gets 3/30 Release

Following critically acclaimed and sold-out engagements on the West Coast, the musical MEMPHIS made its Broadway debut October 19, 2009, earning accolades for its score, which features music by Bon Jovi's founding member/keyboardist David Bryan and lyrics by Bryan and Joe DiPietro (I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change).

MEMPHIS Announces National Tour, Begins In Memphis, TN In October 2011

The producers of the hit Broadway musical MEMPHIS announced today that the critically acclaimed production will launch a U. S. national tour in Memphis, TN. Performances will begin in October, 2011 at the Orpheum Theatre (203 South Main Street). Additional cities, dates and casting will be announced at a later date.

NEXT TO NORMAL Launches National Tour in Los Angeles Nov. 2010

The Producers of Broadway's most acclaimed new musical, Next to Normal, announced today that a National Tour will launch in Los Angeles in November 2010. Performances at the Center Theatre GroupAhmanson Theatre will begin November 23 and run through January 2. Winner of three Tony Awards - Best Score, Best Actress in a Musical, and Best Orchestrations - Next to Normal features music by Tom Kitt, book and lyrics by Brian Yorkey, and direction by Michael Greif.

JERSEY BOYS Sets New Box Office Record In West Palm Beach

The West Palm Beach, FL engagement of the Tony, Grammy and Olivier Award-winning musical JERSEY BOYS broke the box office record for the third time at the Kravis Center, for the week ending March 28, with a gross of $1,349,235, breaking the previous record they set the week ending March 21.

Broadway's MEMPHIS to Get National Tour

According to Playbilll.com, Memphis, the hit Broadway musical, will be embarking on a national tour, tentatively to launch in fall 2011. Prior to Broadway, the musical played the La Jolla Playhouse and Seattle's 5th Avenue Theatre. Memphis co-author DiPietro hinted at the tour possibility in the official blog for the musical.

Michelle Obama & Her Daughters Catch THE ADDAMS FAMILY

Yesterday, the First Family enjoyed MEMPHIS while Barack Obama was fighting to get the health care bill passed in Washington, DC and tonight, the rest of the Obama clan again enjoyed a Broadway show with Michelle Obama, her mother Marian Robinson and daughters Malia and Sasha along with some friends seeing THE ADDAMS FAMILY according to multiple audience reports. The kids are on Spring break and what better way to enjoy it than here on Broadway!
