Cementing its position as New York City's leading year-round showcase for free performing and visual arts, Arts>World Financial Center today announced an ambitious lineup for its 2010 season.

Star of stage and screen Brian Blessed lends his voice to the role of narrator in the production of 'Peter and the Wolf' at the New Victory Theatre, November 13-29. This production will feature Sergei Prokofiev's original composition and a new prequel from Philip Feeney.

Music Director Alan Gilbert will conduct the New York Philharmonic in an all-Russian program, featuring Prokofiev's Piano Concerto No. 2, with the Russian-born pianist Yefim Bronfman as soloist, and Rachmaninoff's Symphony No. 2, Thursday, January 7, 2010, at 7:30 p.m., Friday, January 8, at 8:00 p.m., and Tuesday, January 12, at 7:30 p.m. Mr. Gilbert will also lead the Rachmaninoff symphony on the Rush Hour Concert, Wednesday, January 6, at 6:45 p.m.

La MaMa E.T.C. presents Ellen Stewart's new adaptation of THE RAVEN, an American-premiere musical based on the rarely seen play by 18th-century Italian writer Carlo Gozzi (TURANDOT, THE GREEN BIRD), featuring an international cast from the acclaimed Great Jones Repertory Company at La MaMa E.T.C. Annex (66 East 4th Street) in Manhattan, with previews beginning June 12, prior to an official press opening Sunday, June 15.
