Sharon Leal, Angela Lin, Brandon Scott and More Star in Pasadena Playhouse's STOP KISS, Beginning Tonight

The Pasadena Playhouse presents STOP KISS, the second production of its 2014-2015 Season. Written by Diana Son and directed by Pasadena Playhouse Associate Artistic Director Seema Sueko, STOP KISS stars Sharon Leal (Bill Condon's Dreamgirls, Fox's 'Boston Public,' and Lionsgate's Addicted), Angela Lin (Broadway's Chinglish), John Sloan (Fox's 'Happy Hour'), Brandon Scott (ABC's 'Grey's Anatomy'), Amanda Carlin (Liar Liar), and Jeff De Serrano (A&E's 'Longmire'). The production is performed tonight, November 4 - 30, 2014 with the official press night on Wednesday, November 9, 2014.

LAVENDER NIGHT OUT Benefit Set for the Pasadena Playhouse, 11/6

The Pasadena Playhouse presents Lavender Night Out a benefit in support of art, inclusion and equality featuring a Premiere Week performance of Diana Son's GLADD Media Award winning play STOP KISS on Thursday, November 6, 2014. The festivities start at 6:30pm at The Pasadena Playhouse, with the STOP KISS performance at 8:00pm followed by dessert and drinks with the cast and director.

Mo'olelo Performing Arts Company Names Lydia Fort Executive Artistic Director

San Diego's award-winning theatre, Mo`olelo Performing Arts Company, announced today the selection of Lydia Fort as its new Executive Artistic Director. Fort is an experienced director in New York with additional regional directing, teaching and producing experience. She will join the company in mid-May.

San Diego Theatre Critics Circle Reveal 2013 Craig Noel Award Nominees

Dominating the nominations in the musical category is the current Broadway sensation 'A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder,' which made its world premiere in February 2013 at San Diego's The Old Globe (a co-production with Hartford Stage). The musical racked up 11 nominations, including nods for New Musical, its versatile star Jefferson Mays (a UC San Diego alumnus) and its director Darko Tresnjak (former co-artistic director and Shakespeare Festival director at The Old Globe).

Pasadena Playhouse Welcomes Seema Sueko as Associate Artistic Director

The Pasadena Playhouse announced today that Seema Sueko has been appointed to be its new Associate Artistic Director. Sueko, who is the co-founder and Executive Artistic Director of the Mo`olelo Performing Arts Company in San Diego will assume her new role at The Playhouse beginning January 6, 2014.

Theatre Communications Group Announces Recipients of Inaugural Leadership U[niversity] Program

The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation and Theatre Communications Group (TCG) announce the inaugural round of recipients for the Leadership U[niversity] program. Six early-career theatre leaders will receive One-on-One grants for professional development via mentorships at TCG Member Theatres. Eight mid-career and veteran theatre professionals at TCG Member Theatres will receive Continuing Ed grants for learning opportunities to advance their leadership skills. The overall intent of this program is to strengthen the field by developing the individuals who are the core and the future of theatre.
