To kick off the Oscar Mayer Good Mood Mission charity initiative, Emmy and Tony Award winner, Kristin Chenoweth rallied the crowds on January 19 to take part in a flash mob for the charity campaign. Chenoweth is the Good Mood Ambassador for the Good Mood Mission charity campaign.

Kristin Chenoweth filled in for a vacationing Hoda Kotb during the January 25 program of the fourth hour of the 'Today' show sitting alongside co-host Kathie Lee Gifford. During the course of the interview, Hayes recalled an awkward incident involving Ellen and a glass partition at a restaurant, admitted his addiction to the reality television show 'Hoarders', and also talked about his upcoming role in the Broadway production of PROMISES, PROMISES where he'll star opposite Kristin Chenoweth.

New York City Center will celebrate Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winner Stephen Sondheim on the occasion of his 80th birthday on Monday, April 26 with a gala celebration featuring stars who have shone in Sondheim musicals including Michael Cerveris, Barbara Cook, Raúl Esparza, Victor Garber, Joanna Gleason, Angela Lansbury, Patti LuPone, Donna Murphy and Bernadette Peters. Directed by Tony Award-winner John Doyle, the evening will highlight shows for which Mr. Sondheim has written both music and lyrics, and will feature a full orchestra conducted by Encores! Music Director Rob Berman. The Benefit will help fund New York City Center's artistic and education programs. In addition, a portion of the evening's proceeds will go to Young Playwrights Inc, a charity of great importance to Mr. Sondheim.

As previous reported, Oscar winning producers Craig Zadan and Neil Meron will produce a new project created by Hairspray's Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman in collaboration with Showtime and Steven Spielberg to 'put on a show about putting on a Broadway show.'

Fred Applegate, George Hearn, David Patrick Kelly, Michael McCormick, Rondi Reed, Elena Shaddow, James Snyder and Ted Sutherland have been cast in Fanny, the 50th Encores! musical produced by New York City Center since 1994 and the second Encores! production of the season. Fanny, running February 4 - 7, has music and lyrics by Harold Rome and book by S.N. Behrman and Joshua Logan, and is based on Marcel Pagnol's trilogy Marius, Fanny and Cesar. Fanny will be directed by Mark Bruni and choreographed by Lorin Latarro with music direction by Rob Berman.
