NBC has just released the first batch of promotional photos for the upcoming second season of SMASH - featuring the musical drama's original cast, as well as Broadway's own Jeremy Jordan and Krysta Rodriguez. Check them out below!

TV Land has ordered a second season of 'The Soul Man' starring Cedric 'The Entertainer' and Niecy Nash and picked up a third season of 'The Exes,' it was announced today by Larry W. Jones, president of TV Land. 'The Soul Man,' which debuted in June of this year, was the channel's second highest rated original series premiere following only the series launch of 'Hot in Cleveland' in June 2010.

The Hollywood Foreign Press Association announced the nominations for the 2013 Golden Globes Awards this morning, live from the Beverly Hilton Hotel. Among the nominations was the hit NBC musical drama SMASH, which was given a nod for Best Television Series - Comedy or Musical. SMASH stars Katharine McPhee and Megan Hilty commented on the news this morning.

Betty White has once again been honored with a Screen Actors Guild Award(R) nomination for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Comedy Series for her role as Elka Ostrovsky on TV Land's HOT IN CLEVELAND for the upcoming 19th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards(R)

"Smash" returns to the NBC lineup for a second season on Tuesday, February 5. TV Land's hit sitcom 'Hot in Cleveland' will premiere its summer season with a super-sized LIVE episode, it was announced today by Larry W. Jones, president of TV Land. The episode, airing Wednesday, June 19, 2013, will be live on the East Coast at 10pm ET, with the West Coast getting the live-to-tape version three hours later at 10pm PT. 'Hot in Cleveland,' which is already filmed in front of a live audience, stars television favorites Valerie Bertinelli ('One Day at a Time,'), Jane Leeves ('Frasier'), Wendie Malick ('Just Shoot Me!') and Betty White ('The Golden Girls'). The sitcom is currently shooting its fourth season and returns with new episodes on Wednesday, November 28th at 10pm ET/PT.

"Smash" returns to the NBC lineup for a second season on Tuesday, February 5 (9-10 p.m. ET) and will continue in its regular time slot on Tuesday, February 12 (10-11 p.m. ET). Minnelli joins other notable guest stars that have been announced for the show's next season, including Jennifer Hudson, Jesse L. Martin and Sean Hayes. Entertainment superstar Liza Minnelli - winner of an Oscar, two Golden Globes, a Grammy, an Emmy and multiple Tony Awards - will guest-star as herself in NBC's musical drama SMASH in the upcoming season, and will sing an original song with series star Christian Borle that was written by the show's celebrated composer and lyricists Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman.

According to Newsday, Tony Award nominee and Broadway star Brian d'Arcy James, who is currently starring in the world premiere of the musical Giant at The Public Theater through December 2, will return to NBC's 'Smash' in the premiere episode of season 2 as Debra Messing's husband 'Frank Houston'.

NBC today announced changes to its 2013 primetime mid-season schedule highlighted by the premieres of three new series, including comedy '1600 Penn,' from one of the architects of 'Modern Family'; an intriguing drama 'Deception' (formerly 'Infamous'); and producer Eva Longoria's big reality relationship show 'Ready for Love.' In addition, several of the network's biggest hits will return, including 'Smash' (February 5), which this season will feature The second season of SMASH will include a growing list of high-profile guest stars, including Nikki Blonsky, Jesse L. Martin, Jeremy Jordan, Sean Hayes and Jennifer Hudson.

The LA Times reports that Kristin Chenoweth is set to appear November 5 at the Renée and Henry Segerstrom Concert Hall in Costa Mesa. The Tony-winning actress will follow that performance with concerts in Sacramento on November 7 and Fresno on November 9.

NBC's acclaimed drama series GRIMM will join with Telemundo, mun2 and Universal Studios Hollywood's 'Halloween Horror Nights' in an unprecedented NBCUniversal cross-divisional event when its Halloween episode 'La Llorona' is broadcast on October 26/27.

Yale Repertory Theatre, in a co-production with American Repertory Theater, presents the world premiere of Marie Antoinette by David Adjmi, directed by Rebecca Taichman. Marie Antoinette will be performed at Yale Repertory Theatre (1120 Chapel Street) October 26 through November 17. Opening Night is Thursday, November 1. The cast includes Fred Arsenault, Hannah Cabell, David Greenspan, Marin Ireland, Vin Knight, Jo Lampert, Polly Lee, Steven Rattazzi, Jake Silbermann, Teale Sperling, Brian Wiles, and Ashton Woerz.
