The Huntington Theatre Company announces that the 2014 Breaking Ground festival of new plays will be held today, January 30 - February 2 at the Huntington's home for new work, the Calderwood Pavilion at the BCA.

Lynne Meadow (Artistic Director), Barry Grove (Executive Producer), and Mandy Greenfield (Artistic Producer) just announced that Manhattan Theatre Club will produce the American premiere of THE LION, the new autobiographical musical written and performed by 2013 ASCAP Cole Porter Songwriting Award winner Benjamin Scheuer, directed by Sean Daniels. The five-week limited engagement for THE LION will begin previews on Tuesday, June 10 and open Thursday, June 26 as the second production of MTC's 2013-2014 season of The Studio at Stage II - Harold and Mimi Steinberg New Play Series at New York City Center - Stage II (131 West 55th Street).

Tomorrow evening the curtain lifts on the world premiere of All Your Questions Answered, a new play by two-time Tony Winner Greg Kotis at Geva Theatre Center. Directed by Sean Daniels, All Your Questions Answered will run in the Fielding Nextstage from September 29 - October 13, 2013.

The Conference will feature two-and-a-half weeks of intensive work on six works-in-progress by Gabriel Jason Dean (Terminus); Lisa Dillman (No Such Thing); Deborah Zoe Laufer (Informed Consent); Peter Gil-Sheridan (Cockfight); James Ijames (A Thousand Kinds of Silence); and Joe Waechter (Profiles).

Wendy Melkonian recently spoke with Broadway World Atlanta about her new play, 'The Book Club Play,' which runs from May 17th-June 23rd at the Horizon Theatre. This new comedy by Atlanta-native Karen Zacarias is directed by Horizon co-artistic director Jeff Adler. The play follows a tight-knit book club bound for pandemonium when it becomes the focus of a documentary film.
