Fordham Alumni Theater Company Presents TURN OF THE SCREW Concert, 7/28-30

Fordham Alumni Theater Company announced today that a three-performance concert of the new musical, Turn Of The Screw, will play July 28 - 30, 2012, as a part of its summer festival of works-in-progress. The concerts will be performed in Pope Auditorium at Fordham College at Lincoln Center, 113 West 60th Street at Columbus Ave.

Spring Gala Honors Victor Garber, Celebrates Actors Company Theatre Season Tonight, 5/7

TACT/The Actors Company Theatre celebrates the success of its critically-acclaimed 2011/12 season and honors the accomplishments of Victor Garber - one of this country's most versatile actors, at its annual Spring Gala tonight, May 7th at The Loeb Boathouse Central Park (East 72nd Street & Park Drive North). The celebratory evening kicks off at 6:30 p.m. with a cocktail reception and the new "Pick-a-Prize" Raffle where attendees can select which prizes they want to win. Dinner will be served at 7:30 p.m. TACT company member Simon Jones will serve as master of ceremonies and introduce the evening's entertainment and live auction - which includes VIP tickets to the 2013 Australian Open and tickets to the 2013 Olivier Awards in London - set to commence at 8:30 p.m.

Today we are completing our extensive three-part look at THE SOUND OF MUSIC at Carnegie Hall with an career-spanning chat with one of Broadway biggest rising stars, the amiable and accomplished Laura Osnes. Since her Broadway debut in GREASE - coming after the reality casting competition TV series, YOU'RE THE ONE THAT I WANT - in 2007, Osnes has found great success with lead roles in three more Broadway musicals, spelling for Kelli O'Hara in SOUTH PACIFIC at Lincoln Center as Nellie Forbush, as well as taking on the title role in Frank Wildhorn's BONNIE & CLYDE with Jeremy Jordan and playing Hope Harcourt in the Roundabout revival of ANYTHING GOES alongside Sutton Foster and Joel Grey. In addition to outlining her experiences in those shows and her reflections on her time spent on Broadway thus far, Osnes also opens up about her recent essaying of three Rodgers & Hammerstein roles, having just starred with Will Chase in PIPE DREAM at Encores!, her just-confirmed casting in a new Broadway-bound stage adaptation of Rodgers & Hammerstein's CINDERELLA that has recently had a workshop production (and will have another in July, again co-starring Santino Fontana) as well as all about the star-studded Carnegie Hall concert presentation of THE SOUND OF MUSIC co-starring Tony Goldwyn and Brooke Shields which she headlines on April 24. Additional artists have been announced for composer-lyricist Scott Alan's fourth recording, 'Live,' which follows his critically acclaimed 'What I Wanna Be When I Grow Up,' 'Dreaming Wide Awake' and 'Keys.' Newly announced for the disc are Wicked's Julia Murney, Ragtime Tony nominee Christiane Noll, Newsies' Ben Fankhauser and Season 3 winners of 'The Sing-Off,' Pentatonix.

TACT Announces Wednesday Matinees for LOST IN YONKERS

TACT/The Actors Company Theatre (Scott Alan Evans, Cynthia Harris and Jenn Thompson, Co-Artistic Directors), the critically-acclaimed Off-Broadway company "dedicated to presenting neglected or rarely produced plays of literary merit," announced today that due to a demand for tickets, two weekday matinee performances (Wednesday, April 4 & 11 at 2pm), have been added for Lost in Yonkers, the final production of the company's 2011/12 season. Directed by TACT Co-Artistic Director Jenn Thompson, performances began at Theatre Row's Beckett Theatre (410 West 42nd Street - between 9th & 10th Avenues) on Tuesday, March 13th, 2012 and the enjoyed an official opening night on Thursday, March 22nd. Performances will continue through Saturday, April 14th.
