KEVIN CHESLEY has directed, written and performed sketch comedy for stages like Upright Citizens Brigade (LA and NYC), The iO (Chicago and West), and the Vancouver Comedy Festival. He is a co-founder of TROOP! and The Riot Act, troupes that have performed in venues like The Comedy Central Stage, The HBO Workspace, and The Chicago Improv Festival. For ten years he has directed The Apple Sisters, a staged 1943 radio show that very much helped prepare him to dive into the 1935 world of The 39 Steps. He was also a director for The Hampstead Players Theater Company. A screenwriter, Kevin has written for The Onion, National Lampoon, and MTV's The Hard Times of RJ Berger, as well as screenplays for Warner Brothers, Paramount, Bad Robot, Happy Madison, and 20th Century Fox. He has Executive Produced pilots for both NBC and Cartoon Network. Training: Act One Hollywood, BFA Emerson College. He is currently directing The 39 Steps for Actors Co-op about to open Friday September 22.

Pivot Arts is pleased to present the world premiere of DON'T LOOK BACK/MUST LOOK BACK, a site-specific performance experience in Chicago's Uptown neighborhood, conceived by Julieanne Ehre, written by Tanya Palmer, directed by Devon de Mayo and devised by an ensemble of actors and designers. Audience members are taken on an immersive journey inspired by the stories and experiences of Uptown residents, many of whom came to Uptown as refugees.

Fresh off its world premiere at the first Tampa International Fringe Festival, where it was heralded as one of the Best of the Fest by Creative Loafing magazine, 'Callbacks' will play for a three night run August 25th, 26th and 27th 2017 at the brand new Theatre South Playhouse in the Dr. Phillips Marketplace located at 7601 Della Drive Suite #15. A mermaid exhibition. A strange lake in the middle of West Texas. Ice cream in multiple flavors. MouthRadio presents Crave Blue, a new play by Sarah Loucks, directed by Ann Marie Dorr. Part roadside attraction, part dark comedy, Crave Blue follows a group of West Texas women who dress up as mermaids to pay the bills. Conspiracy and desire collide when a man claims to see a real life mermaid in the lake. As tourists pollute the town, three minimum-wage mermaids must risk everything to uncover the secrets within the lake, and the secrets within each other.

The Oregon Shakespeare Festival will reach a long-overdue milestone this month with the opening of the world-premiere production of Off the Rails, the 82-year-old Festival's first play by a Native writer. Playwright Randy Reinholz's irreverent and subversive adaptation of Shakespeare's Measure for Measure, directed by OSF Artistic Director Bill Rauch, previews July 27, 28 and 29, opens July 30 and runs in the Angus Bowmer Theatre through the end of the 2017 season.
