Dianne Wiest Leads THE FOREST at Classic Stage, 4/23 - 5/30

Classic Stage Company (CSC), under the leadership of Artistic Director Brian Kulick and Executive Director Jessica R. Jenen, will present two-time Academy Award-winner Dianne Wiest in THE FOREST, by Alexander Ostrovosky, translated by Kathleen Tolan, and directed by Brian Kulick, beginning performances Friday, April 23 at CSC with an official press opening Thursday, May 6 at 7pm. THE FOREST will also star Obie Award-winning actor John Douglas Thompson, who earned great acclaim last year for his title role performance in Othello at Theatre for a New Audience. THE FOREST will play a limited engagement through Sunday May 30 only.

David Mamet's RACE Recoups on Broadway

To celebrate the arrival of spring, RACE will take over Times Square on Wednesday, March 24, 2010 from 11 am - 1 pm and will have nearly two dozen women wear red sequined dresses for the public. This event will also celebrate the fact that RACE is currently the longest-running play of this Broadway season. The women will be coming from all over the city to wear the show's famous red sequined dress, a major plot point in the play.

Two-time Academy Award-winner Denzel Washington stars in the first Broadway revival of FENCES, the 1987 Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winning play by August Wilson. The production also stars Tony Award-winner and Academy Award-nominee Viola Davis. FENCES, directed by Kenny Leon, opens on Monday, April 26, 2010 at the Cort Theatre. Wolsky, Ming, Vietti and Ridge Receive 2010 TDF/Irene Sharaff Awards

Legendary costume designer ALBERT WOLSKY and world renowned scenic designer MING CHO LEE are among the 2010 TDF/Irene Sharaff Awards recipients. The awards will be presented at a ceremony on Friday, April 23 at 6:30pm at the Hudson Theatre (145 West 44th Street). Two-time Academy Award-winner Albert Wolsky will receive the 2010 TDF/Irene Sharaff Lifetime Achievement Award for costume design, and Tony Award-winning scenic designer and educator Ming Cho Lee will receive the TDF/Irene Sharaff Robert L.B. Tobin Award for Sustained Excellence in Theatrical Design.

Following its world premiere with the Philadelphia Theatre Company ran in the Kennedy Center Family Theater as part of Terrence McNally's Nights at the Opera, a five-week event featuring three of the playwright's works performed concurrently on three Kennedy Center stages.

To celebrate the arrival of Spring, women modeling the famous red sequined dresses from David Mament's critically acclaimed new play RACE, took over Times Square on Wednesday, March 24, to promote the show which stars James Spader, Kerry Washington, David Alan Grier and Richard Thomas.
