American Ballet Theatre's 2017 Spring season at the Metropolitan Opera House, May 15-July 8, will feature the New York Premiere of Alexei Ratmansky's Whipped Cream and the Company Premiere of Ratmansky's Souvenir d'un lieu cher, it was announced today by Artistic Director Kevin McKenzie.

Four acclaimed Broadway actors will spend the last week of October in Arlington, Vt., rehearsing Perfect Picture (a musical about the life of Norman Rockwell) just a few miles from the artist's former home - in preparation for a staged concert at Lincoln Center's Bruno Walter Auditorium on October 31.

Legendary singer-songwriter Bob Dylan has won the Nobel Prize in Literature 'for having created new poetic expressions within the great American song tradition.' Dylan is the first American to win the esteemed prize since Toni Morrison in 1993.

History was made this past Saturday when tickets went on sale for the upcoming revival of Michael Stewart and Jerry Herman's masterpiece HELLO DOLLY !, starring legendary performer Bette Midler.

Producer Scott Rudin announced the much anticipated Broadway revival of Michael Stewart's (book) and Jerry Herman's (music and lyrics) masterpiece Hello, Dolly!, starring legendary performer Bette Midler. Directed by four-time Tony Award winner Jerry Zaks and choreographed by Tony Award winner Warren Carlyle, Hello, Dolly! will begin performances at Broadway's Shubert Theatre (225 West 44th Street) on March 15, 2017, with an official opening night of April 20, 2017.  Tickets go on sale, via Telecharge.com, tomorrow, Saturday, September 17, at 10:00 A.M. (EST).

Programming for American Ballet Theatre's 2016 Fall Season, October 19-30, at the David H. Koch Theater was announced today by Artistic Director Kevin McKenzie.  The season will feature a World Premiere by Jessica Lang, the Company Premiere of Daphnis and Chloe by Benjamin Millepied and revivals of George Balanchine's Prodigal Son and Frederick Ashton's Symphonic Variations.

Abingdon Theatre Company recently celebrated the opening night of STET, a new play which has extended its Off-Broadway performances through July 10. Written by Kim Davies and developed by Kim Davies, Jocelyn Kuritsky and Tony Speciale, STET is produced in association with The Muse Project.  Artistic Director Tony Speciale directs the world-premiere drama inspired by the Rolling Stone article 'A Rape on Campus.'

THE 70TH ANNUAL TONY AWARDS, aired live from the Beacon Theatre, last night Sunday, June 12 on the CBS Television Network. After the ceremony is when the real fun started though, as most of the evening's celebrity guests headed to the annual Tonys Gala at the Plaza Hotel. As predicted, HAMILTON was the big winner of the night, taking home a whopping eleven awards, including the coveted Best Musical.
