SCARLET LETTER: THE MUSICAL Will Receive Workshop Presentation In Los Angeles

An invitation-only workshop presentation of Christopher Raymond's Scarlet Letter: The Musical will be taking place at the Greenway Court Theatre in Hollywood on Friday, August 24 and Saturday, August 25, it was announced today. Based on the classic novel "The Scarlet Letter" by Nathaniel Hawthorne, the show features music and lyrics by Raymond, choreography by Angela Todaro, and the director is Kristin Towers-Rowles.

Penobscot Theatre Co Opens Season with THE GRADUATE

Penobscot Theatre Company is proud to open its 45th Season with the Maine premiere of The Graduate. Based on the cult-classic novel and the iconic 1967 film, playwright Terry Johnson's stage adaptation is a bitterly hilarious dark comedy, full of rapid-fire dialogue between fascinating and horrifying characters. Performances runSeptember 6-23 at the historic Bangor Opera House.

Photography Exhibit By Chilean Salto Collective Debuts At Urbano Project In Jamaica Plain

La Victoria: Resilience & Creativity, an exhibition of photographs by the SALTO Collective examining issues of belonging and identity in their home city of Santiago, Chile, will be on view at Urbano Project, August 30 – October 5, 2018.  This will be the first exhibition of these works in the U.S. An opening celebration will take place on September 5 from 6-8PM, with a talk by Chilean-American writer and human rights activist Marjorie Agosin.

Actors Theatre Presents Fifth Third Bank's DRACULA Beginning September 7

Actors Theatre of Louisville and Managing Director Kevin E. Moore are thrilled to announce the return of Fifth Third Bank's Dracula, in the Bingham Theatre from September 7-October 31, 2018. A FEW GOOD MEN Auditions Announced In Canton

The Village Theatre of Canton will host auditions for the Aaron Sorkin groundbreaking play, A FEW GOOD MEN, on September 4th and 5th from 6:30pm - 9:30pm. The production is being produced by BTEP of Canton and will offer performances November 16th, 17th and 18th 2018.

Theatre At The Center Announces Cast For GHOST THE MUSICAL

Theatre at the Center (TATC) and Director and Choreographer Linda Fortunato have cast Garrett Lutz in the role of ghostly hero Sam, Donica Lynn as psychic Oda Mae and Courtney Mack in the role of Molly Jensen for Chicagoland's first regional production of the newly imagined Ghost The Musical.  Previews begin September 13 with an Opening Night on September 16 and performances continuing through October 14.

The year is 1929, and Tampa-based cigar rollers Marela and Ofelia anxiously await the arrival of their new, dashingly handsome "lectore." Anna in the Tropics is written by Nilo Cruz and won the Pulitzer Prize for drama in 2003. The play centers around the common Cuban tradition in which lectors are employed by cigar factories to educate and entertain the workers through the reading of novels. The arrival of a new lector is a cause for celebration, but when he begins to read aloud from Anna Karenina, he unwittingly becomes a catalyst in the lives of his avid listeners, for whom Tolstoy, the tropics, and the American dream prove a volatile combination.

Hulu Shares Fall 2018 Programming Slate

Hulu today announced their Fall 2018 programming slate. Newly announced premieres include 'Light as a Feather' (October 12) and the return of 'Marvel's Runaways' (December 21).
