The Production Company's Managing Director of the 2014 Reading Series, Dean Farell Bruggeman, and Artistic Directors August Viverito and T L Kolman proudly announce the third selection for the company's new-play-reading series with Ed Graczyk's beautiful The Blue Moon Dancing, directed by David Youse. The reading takes place at our new studio space, dubbed The Production Company Workspace, at 14731 Oxnard St., Van Nuys, CA 91411, on Sunday, April 27 @ 7 pm, and Monday, April 28 @ 8 PM. Departing today, July 23 from Fayetteville, Pennsylvania for a non-stop flight back to the swinging era of jet-setters, martinis and scintillating mayhem in the early 1960s is Totem Pole Playhouse's production of the classic Tony and Olivier Award-winning bedroom farce Boeing Boeing. Written by acclaimed French Playwright Marc Camoletti in 1962 and adapted into Paramount Pictures' 1965 blockbuster comedy film starring Jerry Lewis and Tony Curtis, Boeing Boeing has been in near constant production since including recent Broadway and London revivals and national tours in both the United States and United Kingdom.

As the commemoration of the sesquicentennial of the Civil War continues, 2013 is especially important to the historic town of Gettysburg, Pennsylvania as this July marks 150 years since the Battle of Gettysburg, often considered the turning point in the Civil War. In recognition of the place Gettysburg holds in history, Totem Pole Playhouse is partnering with Gettysburg College's Majestic Theater in a special co-production of the acclaimed one-act drama, The Road from Appomattox on the stage of the Majestic from tonight, July 10 through July 21.

Totem Pole Playhouse Reflects on Three Decades of Dedication as Sue McMurtray Retires

Sometimes the career you end up with is quite different from what you originally intended. Such is the case with Sue McMurtray. Although a career in show business was not one of her original intentions, McMurtray is retiring as Managing/Marketing Director at South Central Pennsylvania's famous Totem Pole Playhouse, after 28 years. Before McMurtray became a fixture at the summer theater she attended nursing school, became an x-ray technician and eventually ran the historic Penn National Inn, located nearby the Totem Pole Playhouse, between Gettysburg and Chambersburg, Pennsylvania.
