Love, Loss, and What I Wore, which opened in October 2009 and played its 200th performance on Sunday (3/28/10), has been playing to sold-out houses at the Westside Theatre. The movie is called 'Brooklyn Loves You, Michael Jackson,' and tells the story of a group of people organizing a tribute concert in honor of Michael Jackson and the conflict that arises with the 'gentrified people that live in the neighborhood.'
On Monday, April 19, Mother and Child, a drama film directed and written by Rodrigo García premiered at the Egyptian Theatre in Hollywood. The film, which stars Naomi Watts, Annette Bening, Kerry Washington and Shareeka Epps premiered on September 14, 2009 at the 2009 Toronto International Film Festival and at the Sundance Film Festival on January 23, 2010. It is scheduled to have a limited release in the United States on May 7, 2010.
