Late in the week, Orlando Bloom, Barrett Foa, Jonathan Groff, T.I., LL COOL J, Samuel L. Jackson, Judith Light, Rosie O'Donnell and Patrick Wilson were added to the star-studded lineup on THE 68TH ANNUAL TONY AWARDS®, live from Radio City Music Hall, Sunday, June 8 (8:00-11:00 PM, live ET/ delayed PT) on the CBS Television Network.

Yesterday Julianne Moore hosted an afternoon tea in honor of Tony nominee LaTanya Richardson Jackson, currently starring as Lena Younger in A RAISIN IN THE SUN. Held at Lady Mendl's at the Inn at Irving Place, an impressive group of women from theatre, film and television, including LaTanya's fellow Tony nominated costars Sophie Okonedo and Anika Noni Rose, gathered to salute LaTanya. Although she was unable to attend, First Lady Michelle Obama did send a note which was read aloud by Julianne Moore after Ms. Moore made a toast to LaTanya. Samuel L. Jackson and Bart Freundlich crashed the party to enjoy the afternoon with their wives.

Benaroya Pictures has announced today that they are now on board to produce and finance director Olivier Assayas' IDOL'S EYE, with a confirmed cast that includes Robert Pattinson and Robert De Niro.

Charles Gillibert developed and produced the project with CG Cinema, Bluegrass Films' Scott Stuber, Film 360's Scott Lambert, Alexandra Milchan and Michael Benaroya, with Ben Sachs executive producing for Benaroya Pictures. The film is scheduled to begin principal photography in October in Chicago and Toronto.

Bay Street Theatre presents the World Premiere of CONVICTION (Today, May 27-June 15) by Carey Crim and directed by Scott Schwartz, Bay Street's new Artistic Director. The production is co-produced by Bay Street Theatre, Rubicon Theatre in California, Dead Posh Productions, London and Canada's Royal Manitoba Theatre Centre.

According to Showbiz411, Quentin Tarantino's The Hateful Eight will begin filming this November in Wyoming. The cast will include the actors who participated in the live reading of the script back in April: Samuel L. Jackson, Tim Roth, Kurt Russell, Walton Goggins, Michael Madsen,Bruce Dern, James Remar, Amber Tamblyn, Zoe Bell and more.

Jujamcyn Theaters and True Colors Theatre Company (Kenny Leon, Co-Founding Artistic Director) have announced that Ashley Herbert from Boston has won first place at the 6th Annual August Wilson Monologue Competition held on Monday, May 5th at the August Wilson Theatre (245 West 52nd Street). Robert Upton from Chicago was the runner-up, and an honorable mention went to Atiauna Grant from Atlanta. Denzel Washington surprised the audience with a special appearance during the awards ceremony, and greeted all of the contestants afterwards. The event, which was free and open to the public, featured high school students from Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, New York, Pittsburgh, Portland and Seattle performing monologues by the late, legendary American playwright. Multi-Academy Award-winning writer and director Quentin Tarantino completed a preliminary draft of new screenplay THE HATEFUL EIGHT last year and subsequently sent it to a few friends and collaborators only to have it leak, infuriating the outspoken auteur to such an extent that he put off plans to make the film at all and a live staged reading of the aforementioned leaked script, titled THE HATEFUL EIGHT, was held last week in Los Angeles featuring an all-star cast.

The dramatic live action rescue documentary Lion Ark brought its tally of awards to six at Palm Beach International Film Festival winning the audience vote for Best Documentary in a field of 28 documentaries. In its 19th year, the Palm Beach International Film Festival featured 165 films, closing with Jason Priestley introducing Cas & Dylan, which he directed, starring Richard Dreyfuss.

Stage and screen star Kevin Spacey was just honored by Museum of the Moving Image at its 28th annual Salute last night, April 9, 2014 in New York City. Spacey joins the ranks of past honorees who have received the Museum's Salute, including Clint Eastwood, Tom Hanks, Tom Cruise, Robert DeNiro, Goldie Hawn, Alec Baldwin, Dustin Hoffman, Hugh Jackman, Steve Martin, Al Pacino, Sidney Poitier, Jimmy Stewart, Julia Roberts, Martin Scorsese, and Steven Spielberg. Samuel L. Jackson will return as a special guest star for the season finale of ABC's freshman drama series MARVEL'S AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D.
