Fresh from their hit Broadway turns, Meghann Fahy (Next to Normal) and Andrew Durand (Spring Awakening) join the cast of The Unauthorized Autobiography of Samantha Brown. Talkin' Broadway calls the show's writing team of Kait Kerrigan and Brian Lowdermilk 'the most important young writers in musical theatre today.' Next, The Unauthorized Autobiography of Samantha Brown tells the highly-charged story of a high school valedictorian struggling with life-changing decisions about sex, love, college and the impact the paths she chooses will have on the rest of her life. This bright new musical will run August 4 - 28, 2011. A third new musical that is sure to excite Connecticut audiences will be announced soon and will run November 3 - 27.

Segerstrom Center for the Arts is offering local high school students the opportunity to participate in Broadway Saturdays, a new musical theater program taking place over three Saturdays in February (12, 19 and 26) on Segerstrom Center's multidisciplinary campus. Students will learn musical theater techniques and repertoire from Tony® Award-nominated actress Erin Dilly and Broadway stage veteran Stephen Buntrock.
