Barks, who is best known for her stand-out performance as Eponine in the film adaptation of LES MISERABLES, will portray the inquisitive and charmingly shy Amelie. Her most recent theatre credits include City of Angels, Cabaret, and Oliver! in London's West End, and Chicago at The Hollywood Bowl. Due to an exuberant reception from critics and audiences alike, Berkeley Repertory Theatre has announced that Amelie, A New Musical, will extend for an additional week. Originally scheduled to close on October 4, the world premiere will now play through Sunday, October 11. Starting at noon today, tickets for the added eight performances can be purchased by phone at (510) 647-2949 or online at berkeleyrep.org.
