Berkeley Rep has announced the full company for its 2015-16 season opener Amelie, A New Musical, starring award-winning actress Samantha Barks.

A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder Star, Lisa O'Hare has just released a charity single written by composers Daniel and Laura Curtis.

Writer/Director Adam McKay (Anchorman, Talladega Nights, You're Welcome America) and Funny Or Die have joined forces with Archie Comics,one of the most popular comics ever produced, to bring Archie, Betty, Veronica, Jughead and the Riverdale gang to Broadway in an all-new musical.  McKay is slated to bring his singular brand of comedy to the musical, writing the book for the show, with a creative team and timing for a New York run to be announced at a later date.

Berkeley Repertory Theatre today announces key casting for three highly anticipated productions of its 48th season. Tony and Academy Award winner Frances McDormand will star in Macbeth, actor Steven Epp will make his seventh Berkeley Rep appearance in Treasure Island, and award-winning actress Kathleen Chalfant will play the lead role in the West Coast premiere of For Peter Pan on her 70th birthday. The Theatre previously announced the casting of award-winning British actress Samantha Barks in the title role in the world premiere of Amélie, A New Musical, set to begin its run in August.

Berkeley Repertory Theatre has announced that award-winning British actress Samantha Barks will star in the world premiere of AMELIE, A NEW MUSICAL directed by Tony Award winner Pam MacKinnon (Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?).

Acclaimed songwriter Scott Alan returns to London for a two-week residency at The Hippodrome Casino. Featuring a different guest each night, the nine concerts will celebrate Alan's work in nights filled with heartfelt songs, the stories behind them and many surprises.

New York's flagship public media station THIRTEEN will air a special re-broadcast of the famed London LES MISERABLES 25th Anniversary Concert this Sunday evening, June 14 beginning at 7 pm.  The concert, which celebrated the original London production's 25th Anniversary, took place on October 3, 2010 at the O2 Arena and starred Alfie Boe as Jean Valjean.  Boe will reprise his legendary performance beginning September 1 in Cameron Mackintosh's acclaimed new Broadway revival of LES MISERABLES at the Imperial Theatre.  The concert will also be broadcast on WLIW21 on Long Island Monday, June 15 at 7 pm and Saturday, June 20 on NJTV at 7 pm.

The pair recently released a concept recording of four songs written for a theoretical RATATOUILLE musical, with visuals from the film to go with them. The Public Theater just opened George Brant's Grounded, directed by two-time Tony Award winner Julie Taymor and featuring Academy Award winner Anne Hathaway. Grounded began previews on Tuesday, April 7 and will now run an additional week through Sunday, May 24 in the Anspacher Theater. BroadwayWorld brings you photos from opening night below!

Based on Boris Pasternak's Nobel Prize-winning 20th-century epic Russian masterpiece, Doctor Zhivago is directed by Des McAnuff (Jersey Boys), with a book by Michael Weller (Ragtime), music byLucy Simon (The Secret Garden), lyrics by Michael Korie (Grey Gardens) and Amy Powers (Ella Enchanted), and choreography by Kelly Devine (Rocky). The names of the more than 20 Spanish Guests performers that will sing the songs of American composer Scott Alan in his debut concert in Barcelona have been announced. 'Scott Alan: Barcelona & Friends' will take place on Monday 11th May 2015 at Barcelona´s L´Auditori (Sala Oriol Martorell) under the artistic direction of Daniel Angles.
