Mara Isaacs, Director of Project Springboard: Developing Dance Musicals, today announced the recipients of the third annual residency awards: A Nation Grooves: A People's History of Hip-Hop, led by Kambi Gathesha (creator, director, choreographer), and Sinan Zafar (sound design, sonic dramaturgy); and The Quiet World, led by Charles Sutton (director, choreographer), Will Van Dyke (composer), and Matthew Greene (book). Both projects will be in residence June 10-28, 2019 in New York City.

American Theater Group (ATG) is now presenting a world premiere musical, 'Small Town Story,' at South Orange Performing Arts Center (SOPAC) through Sunday, 610.

Mara Isaacs, Director of Project Springboard: Developing Dance Musicals, today announced the recipients of the second annual residency awards: Bhangin' It, led by Rehana Mirza (co-book writer), Mike Lew (co-book writer), Sam Wilmott (composer/lyricist), Rujuta Vaidya (choreographer), and Amy Anders Corcoran (director); and The Night Falls, led by Troy Schumacher (director/choreographer, New York City Ballet soloist), Ellis Ludwig-Leone (composer/co-lyricist), and Karen Russell (book writer/co-lyricist, MacArthur Award winner and Pulitzer finalist). Both projects will be in residence June 4-22, 2018 in New York City.

Following the tragic events that took place at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School on February 14, the Broadway community will unite with many of the inspiring and world-changing MSD students to perform From Broadway With Love: A Benefit Concert For Parkland, USA on Monday, April 16 at 7PM at the BB&T Center in Sunrise, FL.

Today, Thursday 27 April, Argyle Primary School in King's Cross took part in Camden Council's 'Daily Mile' campaign to boost walking in the borough. The children set off from the school (on Tonbridge Street) to the Ambassadors Theatre, to take to the stage with STOMP cast members Andrew Patrick, Rob Shaw, Rhys Shone and Sam Wilmott. Meet the little pig with big dreams in Polka's new stage adaptation of Dick King-Smith's much loved novel Babe, The Sheep-Pig. Featuring stunning puppetry, original music and a charming 'baa-ber sheep' quartet, Babe, the Sheep-Pig runs on Polka's Main Stage from 25 Nov 2016 - 5 Feb 2017 for the whole family ages 5 and up. With a subsequent national tour throughout 2017, this is Polka's biggest ever production.

Adapted from Dick King-Smith's much-loved children's novel which inspired the Oscar-winning 1995 film, Babe, The Sheep-Pig will be brought to life on stage in an enchanting new production, embarking on a major UK Tour in 2017 following a Christmas season at Polka Theatre. Featuring stunning puppetry, an original score and an utterly charming 'baa-ber sheep' quartet, the tour will launch from West Yorkshire Playhouse on Monday 13 February and run until September 2017. The Lark named five New York City-based playwrights as Rita Goldberg Playwrights' Workshop Fellows for the 2016-17 season. The group spans a wide range of backgrounds and professional experiences and will meet regularly throughout the year to develop new plays.

Last night, Thursday October 1, Samuel French, the world's largest publisher and licensor of stage plays and musicals, in collaboration with HowlRound,  presented  Sing and Tell: A Benefit Concert for the Dramatists Guild Fund at Feinstein's/54 Below.
