Nicola and Managing Director Jeremy Blocker) announced today a one-week final extension for the World Premiere of Sing Street, a new musical based on the motion picture written and directed by John Carney (Once, Begin Again). Sing Street features a book by Tony Award winner & NYTW Usual Suspect Enda Walsh (Once, Lazarus), music and lyrics by Gary Clark (frontman of Danny Wilson) & Carney, direction by Tony Award winner & NYTW Usual Suspect Rebecca Taichman (Indecent) and choreography by Obie Award winner Sonya Tayeh (Hundred Days).

This coming season, AMERICAN SCOREBOARD, a series of actor-performed, verbatim readings of actual U.S. Congressional hearing transcripts, will once again join forces with HB STUDIO to perform four readings featuring HB students and alumni. The series will kick-off on Monday, September 16 at 7pm at the HB Playwrights Theatre (124 Bank Street) with a performance of testimony given on March 6, 2019 before the U.S. House Judiciary Committee on Protecting Dreamers and TPS (Temporary Protected Status) recipients. As public schools come to a close this week, AMERICAN SCOREBOARD announces a back-to-school repeat performance of The Betsy Devos Confirmation Hearing for The Secretary of Education to take place at Arena Stage in The Mead Center For American Theater, 1101 Sixth Street SW, Washington DC on September 17th, 2018 at 6pm. This will mark the first visit of the educational program to the DC area.
