Hollywood Boulevard's newest theatre troupe is one to keep an eye on.

From jazz and classic soul to the gentlest melodies in folk ballads, there is a truly diverse line-up ahead at The Marlowe Theatre, Canterbury.

This summer, Joe's Pub at The Public (425 Lafayette, NYC) welcomes a slate of artists that defy genre but share a core of unadulterated and soulful vocals. The calendar promises a season of outstanding music performances from artists ranging from jazz man Brian Blade, making his singer-songwriter debut, to indie songbird Diane Birch to NPR phenomenon Fantastic Negrito to SXSW success story and mother-son duo Madisen Ward & the Mama Bear.

Morticia (Dani Boal) and Gomez Addams (Edward Corpus) want to continue living amongst death, pain, and suffering, the way they always have. But when their eldest child, Wednesday (Marisa Spahn), the ultimate princess of darkness, falls in love with a sweet, smart young man, Lucas Beineke (Andrew Rubenbauer), everything makes a sudden change. As if her flourishing love weren't enough, Wednesday confides in her father, who must keep the secret from his beloved wife, Morticia, something he's never done before. This kooky musical proves how an entire family can change when a daughter falls in love.

Following the enormous success of last year's VAULT Festival, Heritage Arts welcomes VAULT's triumphant return to the Leake Street tunnels for six frenetic weeks of live entertainment. From today, 28 January 2015 they will present a carefully curated, high quality multi-arts programme across seven different spaces under Waterloo station.

VAULT, the six-week cultural festival in the labyrinthine tunnel network under Waterloo opens this week on 28th January2015. To celebrate their opening week, VAULT has released their brand new festival trailer and their first ever festival app. The app, designed to help festival-goers peruse the programme by date, genre and price will provide up to the minute information on the multifarious events. Available on all platforms (tablet and phone, android and apple), the VAULT app will offer unique discounts to downloaders. Currently, the Shubert Organization owns seventeen Broadway theatres in New York City, but as BroadwayWorld previously reported, that number could soon become EIGHTEEN. Last week Michael Riedel reported that the 'Shuberts plan to build a state-of-the-art, 1,500-seat Broadway theater between West 45th and 46th streets - sandwiched between Frankie & Johnnie's steakhouse and the Shuberts' Imperial Theatre.'

The Des Moines Community Playhouse held the 2014 Dionysos Awards on Sunday, July 27. The theatre honored 18 backstage, front-of-house, and education volunteers, and announced 10 acting award winners.
