KPFK Radio's Arts in Review, Los Angeles's longest-running radio showcase on live theater and cabaret, presents its annual Christmas Day Special, highlighted by a concert presentation of Dylan Thomas' A Child's Christmas in Wales, featuring actor Al Alu; and the premiere of the radio dramatization, All is Calm, All is Bright, performed by the Arts in Review Repertory Company.
The 2009-2010 season of Reprise Theatre Company continues with Rodgers and Hammerstein's 'Carousel,' January 26 to February 7 at UCLA's Freud Playhouse. Alexandra Silber stars as Julie Jordan, direct from her critically acclaimed portrayal of Julie Jordan in 'Carousel' at the Savoy Theatre in London's West End (TMA Award - Best Actress). Silber is joined by Robert Patteri as Billy Bigelow ('Scarlet Pimpernel,' 'Beauty and the Beast'.) Veteran character actor M. Emmet Walsh appears as the Starkeeper. Michael Michetti, co-artistic director of The Theatre at Boston Court, will direct, with choreography by Lee Martino and musical direction by Darryl Archibald.

The Suite Life of Zach and Cody's Kim Rhodes will Host this one night only event as a number of celebrated Broadway veterans including Mary Jo Catlett, Carole Cook, Jason Graae, Ilene Graff, Sam Harris, as well as students from Creative Planet School of the Arts (www.cpsoa.org) will be joining Carol Channing as they gather together for a one night only event at UCLA's Royce Hall for the purpose of raising money and awareness with regard to the need for arts in the public school system. Exposure to the arts in school, builds self-confidence, self-discipline and teamwork. And, ultimately these things create better, safer schools for our children. 'You and I don't need to save the arts. We need to help the arts save our children,' says Carol.
The 19th annual Divas Simply Singing! concert will be held at 7:30pm on October 10th at the Saban Theatre (formerly Wilshire Theatre) in Beverly Hills. The evening will be presented by Sheryl Lee Ralph, and proceeds will benefit the Women Alive Coalition and the AIDS Healthcare Foundation.

On Sunday, Sept 6th, the Altadena Community Church (ACC) was honored and pleased to present Miss Carol Channing in a very special, one-night-only, benefit concert. Channing graciously offered to lend her support when she learned that the 70-year-old landmark church was in dire need of a new roof and repairs to their original stained glass windows.
