69a Entrega de los Premios Tony

Por 15° año consecutivo, la pantalla de Film&Arts transmitira en vivo y en directo el mayor evento del teatro de Broadway: la 69ª Entrega Anual de los Premios Tony. La ceremonia conducida por la actriz y cantante Kristin Chenoweth y el actor Alan Cumming se podra seguir en directo desde el Radio City Music Hall de Nueva York para toda Latinoamerica, el domingo 7 de junio desde las 21 (hora Chile/Arg). El sabado 13 a las 21 el canal emitira la repeticion en idioma original con subtitulos en Español, para revivir el imponente show de la maxima premiacion al teatro en Broadway.   

TV: Come to the FUN HOME at Stars in the Alley!

STARS IN THE ALLEY, presented by United Airlines, was held earlier this week in Shubert Alley, between Broadway and 8th Avenue and 44th and 45th Streets. Hosted by HEDWIG AND THE ANGRY INCH's Darren Criss, Broadway's best turned out for the annual performance - including some of the pint-sized cast of Fun Home, who performed 'Come to the Fun Home'- check it out below!

Pat Collins & Harvey Fierstein to Co-Host 2015 TONY AWARDS PREVIEW on CUNY TV This Weekend

A star-studded countdown to the 69th Annual Tony Awards® ceremony begins on CUNY TV with the all-new special, 2015 TONY AWARDS PREVIEW, co-hosted by entertainment reporter Pat Collins and four-time Tony winner Harvey Fierstein.  Collins and Fierstein team up at Sardi's in Times Square, and introduce segments consisting of clips and interviews in all of the leading categories, including Best Play, Best Musical and Best Revivals.  With exclusive interviews totaling 28 Tony nominees, the special debuts Friday, May 29 (2015) on CUNY TV* at 10am, 3pm and 8:30pm; is repeated Sunday 5/31 at noon and Friday 6/5 at 10am, 3pm and 8:30pm, and returns as part of a multi-show Tony Marathon on Sunday, June 7, leading right up to the Tony Awards telecast.  Beginning May 29, the program also may be viewed anytime on www.cuny.tv. 

Broadway's FUN HOME Now on Sale Through January 3

Producers Fox Theatricals (Kristin Caskey, Mike Isaacson) and Barbara Whitman are pleased to announce that tickets for Fun Home, the Award-winning American musical based on Alison Bechdel's graphic novel of the same name, are now on sale through January 3, 2016.

We are yet another day closer to the biggest night on every theatre-lover's calendar- the 69th Annual Tony Awards, which will be co-hosted by Kristin Chenoweth and Alan Cumming on Sunday, June 7 (8PM on CBS). The Drama League to Host Centennial Gala in November

The Drama League, embarking on a landmark year of celebration commemorating its 100 years of service to the American theater, announced today The Drama League Centennial Gala set for Monday evening, November 2, 2015 at The Plaza (768 Fifth Avenue). Cocktails and silent auction will begin at 7:00 p.m. followed by dinner and performance at 8:00 p.m.  Special Guests and performers will be announced at a later date.  The Centennial Gala Committee is now in formation; tables and seats are available by calling (212) 244-9494.

Mystery Woman Revealed! Meet the Real 'Joan' of FUN HOME

In the 12-time Tony nominated musical Fun Home, a college-age Allison, played onstage by Emily Skeggs, sings 'Changing My Major'- a song about her new romance with 'Joan.' Based on the graphic memoir of the same name by Allison Bechdel, the musical is based on her youth, and 'Joan' indeed was a real part of her time at Oberlin College.

Annie Baker's 2014 Pulitzer Prize-winning drama, The Flick, returns to Off-Broadway this month, directed once again by Sam Gold and featuring Alex Hanna, Louisa Krause, Matthew Maher, and Aaron Clifton Moten, reprising their acclaimed performances. Previews began on May 5 at the Barrow Street Theatre (27 Barrow Street, corner of Seventh Avenue), and the show will play a 16-week limited engagement through Sunday, August 30.
