The Buck Creek Players will open their 36th season 'On the Home Front' with Jane Martin's comedy, FLAMING GUNS OF THE PURPLE SAGE, on Friday, October 2nd. The show will run for three weekends through Sunday, October 18th.

Primary Stages (Casey Childs, Founder & Executive Producer; Andrew Leynse, Artistic Director; Elliot Fox, Managing Director) continues its 25th anniversary season of new works celebrating the female playwright with the New York premiere of The Night Watcher, written and performed by Charlayne Woodard. An inspiring solo play, The Night Watcher is directed by Tony Award-winner Daniel Sullivan. Performances begin Tuesday, September 22, 2009 for a limited run through Saturday, October 31, 2009 at Primary Stages at 59E59 Theaters (59 East 59th Street, between Park and Madison Avenues). Opening night is set for Tuesday, October 6, 2009 at 7:00 p.m.

Following a run in the New York Burlesque Festival, The Vroom! Room launches its third sensational Burlesque-Noir show, with more glimpses into the voyeuristic side of burlesque. Veronica Vroom! and her cohort Kristen Lee continue their emasculation of exasperated host Joey Nova, while they present seven sexy stories of secret seduction.

Pillsbury House Theatre presents Non English Speaking Spoken Here: The Late Nite Series on September 12, October 10, and November 14. The September Late Nite kicks it off hard with performances by José James, Kenna Sarge, D'Lo, The St. Paul Soapboxing Slam Team, and DJO. It's going to be a full night of jazzy music, intense dance, new theatre, slammin' poetry, and fresh beats. Food is served at 8pm and performances begin at 9pm.

Due to record-breaking box office demand, Lookingglass Theatre Company extends The Arabian Nights for a second time. The smash hit production must close August 30, 2009.
