This past weekend, Sting brought the THE LAST SHIP home to Tyneside, where the musical is set, performing its score, concert-style, at the town's premiere music venue, Sage Gateshead, for three sold-out shows. He was joined onstage by original Broadway cast member Jimmy Nail, as well as singers Jo Lawry, Charlie Richmond, the Wilson Brothers, and Rachel and Becky Unthank. Scroll down for photos!
TV: Hundreds of Students Join Sting in Performance from THE LAST SHIP

Last Friday, music legend-turned Broadway composer Sting joined 700 primary students from Newcastle ahead of his weekend benefit concerts, where he 'brought the Ship home' at the Sage Gateshead. The students, aged 7 - 12, learned a few of the songs from The Last Ship and performed them as a sing-along with Sting and his band.
David Yurman Appoints New CEO

WWD confirms that Gabriella Forte will take over as the CEO of David Yurman. Forte, a longtime board member, is also a fashion industry veteran. She began her career at Giorgio Armani, where she eventually rose to executive vice president, and worked at other luxury brands like Calvin Klein and Dolce & Gabbana.

Producing Artistic Director Gwendolyn Whiteside and American Blues Theater, Chicago's second oldest Equity ensemble, announce that two additional matinees, Saturday, May 16 and 23 at 3 p.m., have been added to the Tony Award-winning Side Man, written by Warren Leight, directed by Jonathan Berry, April 24 - May 24, at the Greenhouse Theater Center, 2257 N. Lincoln Ave. 'Pink Previews,' where tickets sales benefit the Lynn Sage Foundation for breast cancer research, are Friday, April 24 and Saturday, April 25 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, April 26 at 2:30 p.m. Opening night is Thursday, April 30 at 7:30 pm. The performance schedule is Thursday - Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday at 2:30 p.m. with Saturday matinee performances May 16 and 23 at 3 p.m. Tickets for 'Pink Preview' performances are $19. Regular run performances tickets are $29 Thursdays and Fridays and $39 Saturdays and Sundays. Opening night tickets are $49 and include access to the post-show reception. Houston Grand Opera (HGO) will present performances of Mozart's The Magic Flute at The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion in The Woodlands on Friday, May 15, at 8 p.m. and at Miller Outdoor Theatre on Friday, May 22, and Saturday, May 23, at 8 p.m. The Magic Flute matches a comic yet wise fairy tale with some of the most stunningly beautiful music ever written.
