The Autumn / Winter 2015 Season at Sadler's Wells launches tonight.

New York, N.Y., May 28, 2015 – After an unparalleled career that has spanned nearly 35 years of ballet and contemporary dance, Olivier Award winner Sylvie Guillem will give her farewell performance on the American stage in Life in Progress, a dance program of both existing and new works, at New York City Center from November 12 -14, 2015. Life in Progress began an international tour on March 31 produced by Sadler's Wells in London, where it is currently playing; Guillem's only United States appearance will be at City Center.

The Pittsburgh Cultural Trust announces the 2015-2016 Pittsburgh Dance Council season. The Pittsburgh Dance Council, a division of Pittsburgh Cultural Trust, will explore concepts of age, gender, sexual identity, ethnicity, legacy and historical context during the upcoming season, which opens on Saturday, October 3, 2015.

Birmingham Hippodrome announces the return of dance superstar Sylvie Guillem for her last ever UK performances on Tuesday 8 and Wednesday 9 September 2015.

The internationally acclaimed classical and contemporary dancer Sylvie Guillem will be presented with a Special Award at the Olivier Awards 2015 with MasterCard's ceremony on Sunday 12 April at London's Royal Opera House. The award celebrates Guillem's many achievements over the course of her extraordinary 39 year career.

BalletBoyz has established itself as one of the most original and innovative forces in modern dance: revolutionizing traditional programming formats, commissioning new work, collaborating with a wide range of cutting-edge talents and building a big following through their work on BBC television. Founded by Michael Nunn and William Trevitt, BalletBoyz has won numerous awards and nominations including an Olivier Award, two South Bank Show nominations as well as a Rose d'Or, International Emmy and Golden Prague Grand Prix for their television work. The company has performed throughout the UK and internationally and has in its repertoire approximately 35 works, of which more than 30 are original commissions. I had the opportunity to steal company member Marc Galvez away from rehearsal for a brief chat - here are a few excerpts from that conversation.

Birmingham Hippodrome and DanceXchange won the award for Achievement in Dance at the recent annual UK Theatre Awards for INTERNATIONAL DANCE FESTIVAL BIRMINGHAM 2014 (IDFB). A strong category which also included English National Ballet and Rambert Dance Company.

The Fall for Dance Festival at New York City Center has been a cultural staple for New York City for eleven years, giving audiences the opportunity to witness excellence found in the worldwide field of dance (and at an affordable price, too!). This year's festival opened up with four distinct works, including two NY premieres, one US premiere, and one world premiere by Mark Morris Dance Group, much to the delight of the audience.

BalletBoyz are to present theTalent 2014 in a brand new triple bill at the Linbury Studio Theatre today, September 16-27 as part of Deloitte Ignite 2014, the contemporary arts festival curated by The Royal Ballet and Minna Moore Ede of the National Gallery.

From the 10 - 15 March 2015 English National Ballet presents Modern Masters: Icons of 20th Century Choreography, a new triple bill at Sadler's Wells. The evening's programme includes works from two choreographers new to the Company's repertoire, William Forsythe's In the Middle, Somewhat Elevated and Spring and Fall by John Neumeier. The triple bill also includes Ji?í Kylián's Petite Mort, first performed by the Company in Ecstasy and Death in 2013.

New York City Center's 11th annual Fall for Dance Festival will feature free performances in Central Park and 24 acclaimed dance companies and artists from around the world, in six unique programs in September and October 2014. In keeping with the Festival's commitment to make dance accessible to everyone, the Festival will kick off with two FREE evenings of dance at the Delacorte Theater in Central Park, in association with The Public Theater, today and tomorrow, September 12 and 13 (rain date, September 14) and will continue at City Center from October 8 - October 19 with all tickets at $15. The Festival's many free pre-show events will include dance lessons and panels by choreographers, artists and dance educators. Tickets will go on sale Sunday, September 14 at 11 a.m.

New York City Center's 2014-15 season features an exciting lineup of dance and musical theater that begins with the 11th season of City Center's acclaimed Fall for Dance Festival. The Festival features 24 acclaimed dance companies and artists from around the world, and will kick off in September with two free dance performances at the Delacorte Theater in Central Park in association with The Public Theater, followed by five unique programs at City Center in October. The Band Wagon, an Encores! Special Event starring Brian Stokes Mitchell, follows in November, and the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, City Center's Principal Dance Company, returns for a month-long engagement in December.
