On Sunday, December 2, Rubicon Theatre Company will present a benefit performance of Love, Loss, and What I Wore with a star-studded cast of women including Emmy and Tony-winner Tyne Daly, Amy Peitz and Amanda McBroom.

Rubicon Theatre Company opens its 2012-2013 15th Season with La Razon Blindada, running now through November 11, 2012 in Ventura's Downtown Cultural District. The show stars Jesus Castaños Chima and Tony Duran and is written and directed by Aristides Vargas. Get a first look at the production, which opens tonight, October 20, in the photos below!

In keeping with Rubicon Theatre's new "Our Town/Your Theatre" initiative, the company is partnering with several local businesses to host special nights at the theatre during performances of La Razon Blindada, the critically acclaimed drama written and directed by Aristides Vargas, which continues through November 11 at Rubicon's home in Ventura's Downtown Cultural District.

Rubicon Theatre Artistic Directors KARYL LYNN BURNS and JAMES O'NEIL announced the company's 15th Anniversary Season at a preview event for subscribers, donors and media last earlier this month at the theatre's home in Ventura's Downtown Cultural District. The event was hosted by Rubicon Board President DR. ROZ WARNER and Board of Advisors' Chair/Board Vice-President JEFF SMITH, with onstage appearances by several of the directors, writers and performers for the season.

The Perry Brothers, the ever-popular family duo from Ojai, return to their Ventura home at Rubicon Theatre Company for a one-night-only benefit concert tonight, October 6 at 7:30 p.m. John and Tony Perry will be backed onstage by a band of talented artists on guitar, bass, fiddle, flute, dobro, ukulele and vocals, performing a mix of folk, country, jazz and blues favorites such as "Ventura Highway" by America, "What in the World" by David Bowie, "Lyin' Eyes" by the Eagles and "These are the Days" by Van Morrison.

Rubicon Theatre of Ventura opens the company's 15th Anniversary Season, entitled "Our Town/Your Theatre," on October 20, 2012 with La Razon Blindada (The Armored Reason), written and directed by Aristides Vargas. La Razon Blindada comes to Rubicon from 24th Street Theatre in Los Angeles and is produced in association with Mexico's Instituto de Cultura de Baja California and La Universidad Autonoma de Sinaloa. A powerful and poetic story about two political prisoners who transcend their oppressive environs through imaginative improvisation, the show has received international acclaim. La Razon was dubbed the L.A. Weekly 2011 "Production of the Year" and was a "Critic's Choice" in the L.A. Times and "Critic's Pick" in Backstage West.

The MainStreet Theatre Company has announced that it has received three LA Stage Alliance Ovation Award Nominations for its work during the 2011/2012 Season, including a "Best Production" nomination for their May production of A Wrinkle in Time.
