This fall, Rubicon Theatre Company welcomes veteran Hollywood actor, writer and teacher Jeffrey Meek to teach the new Acting for Television and Film class. This exciting on-camera workshop gives students the opportunity to hone their skills specifically for the screen. Jeff has created a simple and proven approach to acting where beginners and seasoned performers receive a powerful support system to try new things or perfect material, regardless of style or period. Now celebrating their 11th year, these programs have focused on developing skills and techniques such as: basic theatre terminology, confidence building, stage presence, proper voice techniques, developing an awareness of body language through character work, and other fundamental techniques through improvisation, scene study and theatre games.

Tonight, April 12, 2013, The New York Pops continues its 30th season with an evening celebrating the 65th birthday of Stephen Schwartz and the 10th anniversary of his hit musical Wicked with The Wizard and I: The Musical Journey of Stephen Schwartz. Music Director and Conductor Steven Reineke will lead the orchestra as they perform highlights from some of the composer-lyricist's most beloved works.
