The Saint Michael's Playhouse stages ALWAYS . . . PATSY CLINE, concluding the 2010 season of Equity professional summer theater, in the McCarthy Arts Center at Saint Michael's College. The show runs, July 27 - 31 and August 3 - 7, each evening at 8 p.m., with matinees, July 31 and August 7 at 2 p.m.

Jermyn Street Theatre bring back BLACK BREAD & CUCUMBER in a strictly limited season from October 5th to the 23rd after a nine year absence. The play celebrates Anton Chekhov's 150 birthday as Caroline Blakiston does this acclaimed one-woman show about how she made history as the first British actress to play Chekhov in Russia, in Russian.

On Tuesday, July 20, 2010 at 8pm, Natalie Merchant will perform at the Merriam Theater of the University of the Arts. This appearance is part of her nationwide tour in support of her new album Leave Your Sleep. The tour will be Merchant's first major outing in seven years. Merchant and her eight-piece band will perform new material as well as favorites from throughout her career.

Bob Boyett and NETworks Presentations announce casting for the national tour of the Lincoln Center Theater production of Richard Rodgers & Oscar Hammerstein's prize-winning musical 'South Pacific,' directed by Bartlett Sher, opening June 2 at the Center Theatre Group/Ahmanson Theatre and playing through July 17, 2010. Previews begin May 27.

The Tricycle Theatre will present Women, Power and Politics, a season opening immediately after the general election, exploring the history and current role of women in politics in Great Britain through twelve different plays, a film festival, curtain raisers (in conjunction with the National Theatre Studio) and an exhibition in the Tricycle's Gallery.

EMERGING ARTISTS THEATRE will present a return engagement of their wildly popular and critically acclaimed production of PENNY PENNIWORTH by Chris Weikel. This spoof of Dickens, directed by Mark Finley, is produced on Off-Broadway contract. Performances of this limited engagement will begin September 8 at TADA Theatre.

Trevor Nunn will direct the first major London revival of Andrew Lloyd Webber, Don Black and Charles Hart's Aspects of Love at the Menier Chocolate Factory, previewing from 07 July with press night on 15 July and running until 26 September. Designs are by David Farley with choreography by Lynne Page, lighting by Paul Pyant, musical supervision by Caroline Humphris, orchestrations by David Cullen and sound by Gareth Owen. Trevor Nunn previously directed the world premiere of Aspects of Love and returns to the piece to direct this new intimate version.

The eighth annual Bard SummerScape presents Judgment Day ('Der jüngste Tag'), a gripping 1937 drama by Austro-Hungarian Ödön von Horváth, one of the most talented playwrights of his generation. A runaway hit of last fall's theater season in London, Judgment Day implicitly investigates the roots of Nazism among Austria-Hungary's ordinary working people.

The Cherub Company returns to the Finborough Theatre with the world premiere of a brand new play by Peter Nichols, Lingua Franca, opening Tuesday, 13 July 2010 (Press Night: Thursday, 15 July 2010) as part of the Finborough Theatre's 30th anniversary year.

Cherie Lunghi and Robert Morgan will star in a new production of Brian Friel's AFTERPLAY at Bloomsbury's Pushkin House, whatsonstage.com reports. The one-act play will run for eleven nights, WhatsonStage reports. The production will be directed by Philip Saville.

Executive Producer Lou Spisto today announced the complete cast and creative team for the West Coast Premiere of Tony Award winner Joe DiPietro's The Last Romance. Old Globe Associate Artist and television icon Marion Ross will star with her longtime partner Paul Michael in the new romantic comedy which was written for them by DiPietro.
