The RSC brings Shakespeare's 400th anniversary year in Stratford to a close with a powerful programme, matching two major Shakespeare titles with two irreverent Jacobean comedies and a new play from Anders Lustgarten, which plays out across 400 years between Caravaggio's Naples and the housing estates of Bootle.

Kent actors have the rare chance to audition for The Royal Shakespeare Company next month (February).

Walnut Street Theatre, America's oldest theatre and a National Historic Landmark, just announced its landmark 208th season of live entertainment and its 34th season as a not-for-profit producing theatre company. The line-up includes three dazzling musicals, a side-splitting comedy, and Oscar Wilde's most enduring classic hit. Final casting has now been announced for the 2016 national tour of Terence Rattigan's FLARE PATH, directed by Justin Audibert, opening on 27 January at the Connaught Theatre in Worthing. Daniel Fraser will play Teddy Graham and Audrey Palmer will play Mrs Oakes.  Daniel played Gregory Cromwell in the acclaimed RSC productions of Wolf Hall and Bring Up the Bodies in Stratford, London and on Broadway.  He also appeared in Chariots of Fire at Hampstead Theatre and in the West End and starred in the Sci-Fi films Frequencies and Lab Rats and the thriller Scar Tissue.

CABARET, the musical masterpiece, returns direct from Broadway!

The Melbourne Season of the Royal Shakespeare Company's production of MATILDA THE MUSICAL features four young actresses who will share the title role. They are (in alphabetical order) Dusty Bursill, Tiana Mirra, Alannah Parfett and Ingrid Torelli. The winner of over 50 international awards, including 12 for Best Musical, MATILDA THE MUSICAL is currently enjoying a sellout season in Sydney and will make its Melbourne Premiere at Princess Theatre from 13 March 2016, with tickets currently on sale from Ticketmaster for performances through to 22 May 2016.

Using heart-wrenching emails from soldiers in Iraq along with TV news footage and Rumi & WW I poetry, SANCTUARY a new play written and performed by theater and film actress Susanne Sulby, will play a limited engagement now through 23rd at Off Broadway's Lion Theatre (410 West 42nd Street). SANCTUARY will have an official press opening tonight, January 7th at 6:30PM.

The Royal Shakespeare Company's Australian production of MATILDA THE MUSICAL is set to end the year on a high, having topped Ben Netuze's Top 12 for the Sydney Stage list, published on Monday by Crikey Media's Daily Review.

Shakespeare's Globe's new artistic director Emma Rice has just announced the line-up for the historic theatre's new season. Called the 'Wonder Season,' all of the productions will include elements of folklore and magic. Casting has been announced for the Memphis engagement of the First National Tour of MATILDA THE MUSICAL. Produced by the Royal Shakespeare Company and The Dodgers, the First National Tour of MATILDA THE MUSICAL will play The Orpheum Theatre in Memphis, TN January 12 - 17, 2016. Tickets are on sale now.

Rehearsals begin today (Monday, January 4) for Theatre for a New Audience's production of William Shakespeare's Pericles directed by Trevor Nunn, featuring OBIE Award-winner Christian Camargo in the title role and leading a diverse company of 22 actors, Jeffrey Horowitz, Theatre for a New Audience Founding Artistic Director, announced.
